  1. just came back from the north fork, Woodstock river is low about 24-28 inches. I was wading hit two smallies 1/1/2 and a 3 lber
  2. Welcome, I always start with topwater then crankbaits then move on to worms
  3. congrats you have to love how they fight three times as hard and a LMB
  4. that is a great looking fish!
  5. 70 is pretty cold after you sit in it for a while a lot of guys in Norther Cal use thick waders or sweats and breathable waders
  6. Sometimes when I stop without slowing down it comes in a little.
  7. I use my Pan Optix from when I ride my roadking. They Rock I let my daughter put them on while fishing and she was amazed at the way she could see the fish chase her lure, it helped her change the presentation to catch more fish. She never gave them back that day ;D
  8. I went with the golden shiner in the 10" model on clearance for 19 dollars and used my points to make it 10 dollars. I guess I wanted to try to go big When it I arrived I kept thinking I can mount this thing on the wall. I have a MH loomis with a back up Chronarch, I'm thinking with braided 30lb I'll be OK.
  9. I just dream about the fame ;D I do think attention to the sport brings innovations in tackle and boating
  10. How cold is the water? you can ask about the parasites from your local game and fisheries dept.
  11. I release all unless a buddy wants one. I don't eat fish just enjoy the sport
  12. Catt, Use the force! I always listen more than anything at night I always find a almost full moon is enough light to fish in
  13. A great hotel in front royal is the Hampton Inn off right off exit 6 on Rt66. The river is low south of 66 toward the town, it gets deep around 13-15 feet where the north fork meets the south fork right at the public landing. I go out every weekend at first light for some great fishing. There is a campground right off the exit on the water but no tent camping as allowed.
  14. Fatcat keeps you higher out of the water. Get a tune for about 150 It will keep you out of the water. Waders, fins and tube add up.
  15. DC if I could I would buy that from you in a heartbeat, she is a looker!
  16. I changed my light bulb and noticed all dielectric grease was packed on my bulb, so I smeared it off and put it on the contacts of the new bulb. I also noticed where my wires go in there is no seal. I don't think submersible means water proof or resistant, so I always unplug my trailer before going into the water. Beside my trucks fuse, the cold water on a hot bulb can't be good.
  17. I also let my line untwist in the water down river and troll upriver
  18. You could pick up a whole new light at walmart. Here is a tip for a new guy, make sure you always unplug your lights when you put the trailer in the water. Oh yea and stop backing into things ;D
  19. size but I couldn't find on the site I was on what the sizes are
  20. What color? and what is the difference between SR and JR?
  21. If your talking long term storage you can box them up with some vermiculite and seal up the box the air tight, then keep them in the basement. Use a 50/50 bleach and water on the cork to clean them and it might help fight off the mold.
  22. Or I could store them for you ;D
  23. I would skip both those options if you can, make a little closet room or under your bed.
