  1. If you do get a new combo take care of it protect the reel don't lay it on the ground, you get nicks on the spool. clean your guides. Reel Magic works wonders on both your line and guides.
  2. You made me go through my closet afterwork, and I found my Donnmar Checkpoint Stainless pliers I stashed away for a rainy day!
  3. Congrats! Post a pic
  4. You can start with the local paper and craigslist. look for the longest and widest boat yo can afford. You can deck it yourself, try to get one with a OB motor, that will cost you a fortune to buying it new. You can pick up a bow mount trolling motor refurb 65 minn kota for ($400) at Bass Pro shops every so often they will run a sale. Batteries 2 ($160), wood and paint ($250). Maybe you can find one done for 2K if your lucky.
  5. BPS soft sided worm bags
  6. Where is that? Maybe a speed limit would be better than a motor HP limit.
  7. Great looking Pics and its alway good to take the kids and enjoy some family fun.

That was a waste, some people can't see beyond their nose
  9. I would buy it then pick up an old F150 to tow it with.
  10. I just lost my pliers on the way home left them on the boat and took off. They used to be Shimano nicely rapped in blue cord (non slip). They don't make them anymore. Now I am stuck with my 1.99 walmart pliers. :-[
  11. Funny you mention the Y, I have two favorite spots both Y's where the north fork meets the south fork of the river and also a small creek. Both spots produce quantity and quality.
  12. Congrats on the fish! Nice to be able to use the info from the forum
  13. Ted, welcome aboard
  14. I always hit the shady spots, transitions, and points
  15. I guess you should stock up, before the ban.
  16. thanks for the heads up
  17. Before After I also put my 20hp outboard back on Thanks for looking
  18. How high are you going to make the decking? All one level? I have mine decked at two levels, up front is higher and the middle is lower. The higher up you deck the more of a Top Heavy (rocks as you walk around) feeling you get. look at some of the pics of other projects on this site... I would deck it, just in levels.

  20. I have two for back ups, they are great reals I can cast them all day they feel great in my hand and never had any trouble with them.
  21. mariner 20hp 2 stroke been working carb since I was 12, 2 strokes and 4 strokes on dirtbikes and my hogs. Pretty easy to rebuild just take it slow and call me if you need to talk. IM me for my number.
  22. Yes, I had the same problem replaced the bulb and line, didn't fix it. I replaced the fuel pump gasket in the carb, runs great now. The whole kit was 35 bucks so I replaced all the gaskets. so it could also be the fuel pump built into your carb, raise your can over the motor and run it (in the driveway of course) see if your problem goes away.
  23. You can check your gear oil too, check your fill and drain plugs
