  1. Hey Ranger--I hope you don't think of using those in CT..LOL
  2. What a jerk!!!!! BASS also has the power to ban his membership and the states clubs can black list him from any affiliated tournaments. That is if your club is Bass affiliated. Don't be discouraged. Keep on fishin and catchin monster bass like that.
  3. Do they change if they move to another area? I have caught light and dark in the same place
  4. A 150 acre lake I fish has a kids derby to rid excess sunfish. They are good for the garden. Kids bring in 5 gal pails of them and the heaviest wins.
  5. sweeet!! even better in a tourney
  6. Is your lure too light? Don't cast into the wind either. Don't try to cast to hard until your thumb is trained
  7. Sorry, next time I'll bite my lip. There are alot of new members here and I am all about catch and release too.
  8. Welcome and glad to have you. Some people here could use some advise---mostly me
  9. tough day indeed but we didn't have a comfy launch. My buddies and I dragged a canoe over a mile to a remote lake and caught 1 pickeral all day. Better luck next time -- its been a cold windy spring
  10. I don't think someones need to eat should effect others helping educate bass fisherman on all topics. If you are such a humanitarium maybe you should stop fishing for sport.
  11. Only caught a few on a buzzbait. Maybe its bigger in the south or dirty water
  12. GYCB and Zoom
  13. being able to catch fish every weekend from the same spot....It makes me feel like I'm a good fisherman
  14. You buy a new house for its location adjacent to a lake over whether the house is suitable or not. Your decision on buying a house is based on having a good spot to park your boat. You are willing to drag a conoe 1.2 miles into the woods to a lake that may not have any fish.
  15. deep crankin' locating fish on new lakes holding back from kicking the guy off the front of the boat for running over picture perfect cover!!!
  16. YOU'D HAVE TO KNOW A LAKE REALLY WELL TO ID IT FROM A BACKGROUND AND THE FISH MAY NOT EVEN BE FROM THAT SPOT
  17. C-rig with fluke, craw or worm
  18. I like this alot ---you always see bait in schools waking the surface
  19. that is a great illustration thank you
  20. Bass get pretty agressive on the jerks in the early spring. Don't be afraid to try an aggressive jerkbait retrieve. Great luck
  21. A few pros do it religiously, but I think its a mind game.
  22. You gotta be nuts to skip with a baitcaster!!!! I have never heard of a fat Ika till this year. Every week its brought up again. So I am going to try it.
  23. I had a 12" pickerel in college in a 40 gal tank and I fed it goldfish If I put in 10 goldfish they would all be gone in 30 sec. The only problem is it would slam its nose into the glass every time. If the tank is big enough, you can learn alot
  24. X2 ...YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH EXTRA WIDE GAP
  25. Boat rentals 7am-11am on Thurs-Sun I think 12' alum. with 4hp gas motor and elec motor and depth finder---nice setup You can also rent rods at that lake and there is a "hot spot" map on the shed so you should be able to locate bass If you do rent a boat, PM me and I may know someone who would like to checkout that lake with you
