I believe the originals ( 5/8 oz. ) are #1, at least the #1's I bought matched in size. I did find that with the added splint ring the action suffered with #1's. I dropped down to #2's and this evening gave them a test. The action was much better. At least the 5 dinks I caught thought so. Edit for size.

I'd like to see them make a comeback. I usually cut 3"-4" off the handle. Keeps it from poking me in the gut so much. :

I've been using the Scum frog Popper for years and for me it still out fishes Spro ,Horny Toad, ect. Also you can buy 3 Scum Frogs for what one Spro costs.

Favorite to fish : Rapala floater. Best for catching fish: Plastic worms.

To adjust how the spool fills add or remove 1 or 2 the dark gray fiber washers on the shaft under the spool . The manual details the procedure.

Topwater is my favorite but I catch more on plastics.

Here's another cheap wacky O-ring tool. I use the "Goodies" rubber bands from Wal Mart and using a pair of needlenose pliers to get it on was a pain. I took an empty .44Mag case, cut the base off and smoothed the ends with 400 grit paper. Now I just double the rubber band over the tubing and slide the Senko into it.

Don't forget a small floating Rapala.
