is there a way to select or change the programs that load when you start up the computer? mine is super slow when i turn it on until everything loads up. i have windows xp.

it cleared up later in the afternoon and i managed one decent largemouth on a spinnerbait. first time using one and shortly after i lost it to a mean snag. i tried slow cranking a shad rap , jig and a double hula grub with no luck. not sure what the water temp was but it was pretty cold. i asked the cousins husband and he said he hasnt seen any floaters in their lake so maybe they managed to hug the bottom and wernt too affected by the weather. either way , its still nice to be outside fishing and still be able to feel your fingers after 30 minutes. ;D

woooo!! feels good to be back in miami. should be up in miramar today and possibly do some fishing. i really hope its not as bad as everyone says...

i love catching peacock bass , so thats a great thing to hear. ;D im sure from when they were first introduced to now , there has been a few cold snaps similar to this one , they will bounce back. i guess its just a matter of how long it would take. btw , was there any reason they never brought the larger specie over here? or was this one the hardiest?

lol. the place i go to is riviera isles. right up the street. the fiances cousin lives in there and we almost always go fishing in that lake. while its not pressured , there really isnt much to it. we havnt been around all the inlets and everything , but when i get back down there , ill try to get them to check everything out. btw , the pea in my avatar came from that lake.

i fish a lake in one of those gated communities right off of miramar pkwy. would you mind sharing where the one youre talking about is?

oh man. i miss my crossman 2240. bolt action .22 400+ fps and pretty darn accurate. i could hit phone poles from down the street on a calm day.

ive always used mono since its cheap and everywhere has it never had any problems. XL and big game were always spooled. recently ive tried CXX on spinning which was terrible. just bought my first spool of 15/4 powerpro and a small spool of 10lb CXX for the BC a couple days ago. we'll see how it goes.

i hope not too. i would imagine they would do something about it. maybe not though... when is the last time we had weather like this?

reading this thread has been very depressing. im heading back to miami in a few days and was hoping the pea's wouldnt suffer like this. any idea how long it would take their population to 'bounce back'?

ive never had any problems with craftsman screwdrivers. if for some reason one breaks , i swing it by the local sears and have it replaced.

havnt used elite but i have 6lb siege on my spinning rig and i see no reason to try elite. i like it much better than the XL ive been using.

excellent. ive seen a few pics of guides getting wrecked from braid and have always been hesitant to give it a try. ill only be using it on my spinning rig since im still not consistant enough with a BC and im scared to get a backlash from hell with braid.

after reading the this and the weaknesses thread , im thinking i have to re-evaluate what i need to focus on more.

maybe he got in contact with a female that wasnt exactly 'clean'.
