  1. For me, it seems smaller is better when the water is 45 degrees or under. That being said, this winter I plan on trying bigger profile jigs for bigger fish, and see how that goes.

  4. Yup, heavy wind for me too.

  7. I use braid on one of my jig rods, on my topwater frog rod, and as a main line on my Carolina rig setup (flouro leader). All other setups have either flouro or hybrid, and one has mono.
  8. Rage Tail Space Monkey, or Rage Hawg.
  9. My first was a Dare Devil, red and white, just like the one you posted. My first plastic, was a Slug-O.
  10. The Slug-O was the bait that caught me my first big (over 4 lbs) bass when I was a teenager. After that, I was hooked, and never went back to live bait like nightcrawlers. Although I almost never use them, I still keep a few around, for nostalgic value I guess.
  11. I use the 5 hour energy all the time (like at least one a day), and drink Monsters pretty much every day (the green one). My wife keeps telling me I'm gonna die.
  12. Name that spot. Anybody? Ended up with all small fish (10"-12"), none picture worthy. I'm not done quite yet!
  13. If a soldier has his/her own boat, and would like to bring it, that's perfectly fine, and all launch fees and marina fees will be waived. They could either fish out of it, take out another soldier, or allow a volunteer to take out a soldier. Bottom line is, the more boats there, the better.
  14. I run the 12lb InvisX on my Curado, and I love this line! Great for light jigs and keel weighted plastics.
  15. Yeah, Eloo! That's what I'm talkin about! Nice job. I want one more nice one for the year, too. I'm gonna go Saturday and try to make it happen.
  16. Mattlures Soft Gill. Can't figure it out.
  17. Forget the grubs, and stick a Rage Baby Craw on there! Killer bait.
  18. The difference is the size of the reel (spool). For most bass fishing applications, the 20 size should serve you well.
  19. Yeah, we don't have many alligators around New Hampshire. I was just saying, that it's cool to see the layout of the lake bottom without any water.
  20. I would get in on it. Should be fun if we do.
  21. There's a couple lakes that I fish regularly, and the winter draw down is a great time to get out there (cautiously), and learn the lake. There are coves that I catch tons of fish at, that now you can just walk out there, because there's no water at all. Gives you a pretty neat perspective on the water body, and some of the spots that hold fish the rest of the year.
