Been at the new gig for a little over a year. We had a managers meeting at the end of the first quarter. I had the highest growth YTD, MTD, FYTD, and 12 months rolling out of 10 stores. Still have plenty of work to do to get sales where they need to be to get me off guarantee but it's been easier than I thought.

If the money is negligible and you like the way things are currently, then why change. If there is no benefit, there is no benefit.

The grocery stores around here had removed the scales in the produce departments some time ago. Probably my fault. When I was in my early 20s, and strictly a meat fisherman, I brought my biggest bass to date into a grocery store to weigh it. It weighed 5 and change. Bought breading and the rest of dinner fixins and had bass for dinner.

I don't know about the rest of the country but if I walked into the post office, to weigh a fish, here in Chicago, one of 2 things would happen. They would run me out of the store because they thought I was crazy or I would wait in line for an hour and they would ask if I wanted it shipped priority.

Yes he is. Why spend your life feeling sorry for one's self? I had a work accident 10 years ago that left me permanently disabled. It took me a number of years to get thru the mental part of it. For me, a big part of the mental healing was finding a job that I both was physically able to do, that paid enough for me to live on, and that I enjoyed. I started that job 3-1/2 years ago. That was the end of 6 years of me feeling lost. Barring any unforseen circumstances, I'll work here until I'm ready to retire.
