A fish is not a toy
I agree, there is no reasoning with a 3 year old and dad shouldn't have to ask more than twice. Had dad pulled out his belt on camera he'd have a lot more problems to deal with than a stubborn son. That being said, I don't think this situation warranted it and dad was doing this purely for camera footage. The fish was clearly dead. Throwing it back was moot.

I heard Beth today for the first time in a real long time- Legend bass boats no more?
Bass Cat already did it- Legend bass boats no more?
Johnny moves products thru value driven marketing. He's not in the innovation business. Frankly, i don't know how much more "great innovations " are left in the bass boat industry. The only thing innovative about Legend was their marketing. They were the first bass boat company that really marketed semi custom production rigs and not railroad you into the same boat everyone else has- HOW I HANDLE TELEMARKETERS
Look up comdian Tom Mabe- Bay boat for bass?
Take a look at the Sea Ark bay boats. I think they are a nicer set up and Sea Ark hulls are a bullet proof workhorse.- My fishing partner just signed his will...
Take him out and bobber fish.- A-Jay's Inaugural Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
It's missing construction season- Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Getting the itch. Got the tackle organized and batteries topped off. Going to respool this weekend and keep my fingers crossed it will warm up soon.- How to fish muddy/weedy lakes?
By bank beater, I meant all you do is cast towards the bank and don't do offshore fishing. During early spring, I fish a lake with a bunch of rotted vegetation on the bottom. Any lure that hits the bottom in 13ft or less comes up with a black stringy mess. I usually end up using cranks or suspending jerkbaits rather than wasting time on presentations that will get lost in the silt and vegetation. As the water warms up and the fresh vegetation grows in, I'll run lures over the top. Save your finesse plastic tactics for a harder bottom- How to fish muddy/weedy lakes?
If you're a bank beater, the banks suffer less from the silt than 5ft out from the banks. Fish the banks prior to the weed growth and run above the weeds once they fill in. Fish weed edges. Don't forget punching in the summer.- My winter hobby / project
- Minn Kota Power drive question
Powerdrive foot pedal is garbage. If you get powerdrive, get it with Ipilot. It's hand control only and will not let you down.- A-Jay's Inaugural Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
I looked at pics from last spring. I was on my home water March 10th. Ain't gonna happen this year. There's currently a foot or more of ice, it's snowing and will continue on and off all week, and lows still in the teens.- Post a photo a day!
Just need the ice to melt- Killing Time!
I like the nav lights, I put them on my Lund. I did my deck with amber. I figured it would be the easiest on my eyesight. Looks nice.- Killing Time!
You get a different boat? That hardly looks aluminum ?- How Do you Guys Afford Your Boats?
The cup holder was a jab at me. It was crucial when I purchased my current boat that there were enough cup holders. Last boat had only 1 and I hated it.- How Do you Guys Afford Your Boats?
Already sick of the Tuffy? Lund has a limited edition ProV that'll run you 6 figures. ?- How do boat fishermen really feel about kayak anglers?
Maybe I'm reading too much into it but the way the question is posed it sounds like you are getting negative reactions from boaters while out on the lake. As long as your kayak isn't a wake boat...- How do boat fishermen really feel about kayak anglers?
Why?- 12poundbass's annual winter thread
