So, all that is left is convincing yourself to buy a boat that costs double what the truck cost...LOL It's not that difficult. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Lund quality. Full disclosure, I had a horrendous time getting warranty work done. It was more of a dealer issue than Lund and eventually Lund got involved at the end and made everything right. The warranty issue was purely cosmetic and had nothing to do with the structural integrity of the boat.

My ol' lady will be late for her own funeral. If we have somewhere to go, I tell her we need to be there an hour before the event begins. There's a 50% chance we will make it there on time. I'm early for everything. My store opens at 7am. I'm generally there by 6:30. Not a week goes by when I don't have customers waiting outside when I pull up at 6:30. Some will sit in their trucks until I open and some will come right in after I shut off the alarm. Doesn't matter to me one bit. They put food on my table. My one employee will sit in his car in the parking lot until 10 minutes to 7. He comes in and makes/eats his breakfast and doesn't start "working" until 7am. Fine by me, his hours are 7-4and he gets paid for his hours worked. He will not get paid for coming in early but will get paid for staying late. He will stay late if he has to. Off topic. A huge chunk of my salary is commission based. I answer text messages and emails before and after hours, on weekends and when I'm off or on vacation. I don't have to. I am not required to. The way I look at it is every call, text, or email I do not respond to is taking food off my table.

Lund should have tweaked the Predator instead of getting rid of it. I guess they didn't sell enough with the bench seat to make it profitable. OP, You can't go wrong with Lund quality. I ran a 20ft Predator for 10 years, which was the predecessor to the ProV Bass and only offered in the XS layout. It was a larger deeper freeboard hull than the ProV Bass. It had a 2 stroke ProXS so, I can't comment on the 4 stroke. How much fishing do you plan on doing off the back deck? The front deck is the size of an aircraft carrier and there is plenty of room for more than 1 angler on the front deck. I would never recommend a roller trailer on a boat that small. As far as the tow vehicle, I always had 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks. When you calculated the tow weight did you account for fuel and gear? Does your Frontier have a tow package or is it basic? A trans cooler and upgraded brakes aren't a must but I would highly recommend them especially, if you are going to be towing for any long distances and/or in the mountains. If the trailer is equipped with surge brakes, it needs a 7 pin connector not a 4 pin.

Children don't need to appreciate the sacrifices their parents made for them. They do need to recognize them. Parenting sucks. Yet, it an be the most enlightening thing anyone could experience.

Kids don't know they're poor until they go to school. LOL I remember getting made fun of because I wore Roebucks (for you young guys Sears) jeans that were hand me downs, while the other kids all wore Levi's. Think I got my first pair of Levi's when I started Jr High.

Dad is 83. He worked 2-3 jobs most of his life to take care of his family. Retired his last time at 77. Needless to say, he was always busy when we were kids. I will throw in, one of my siblings was developmentally disabled and got the bulk of mom and dad's attention. Rightfully so. When we did see him, he took us fishing, shooting, and bowling. Dad is a hardcore Catholic only to be out Catholic'd by my mother. Was an altar boy as a kid and usher's every weekend at his church to this day. He put my brother and sister thru college and made sure my disabled brother was in the right schools and eventually, group homes. Dad got on every board of directors to make sure he had say in how the special ed programs were ran in the facilities my brother was in. My brother is long gone and dad is still on the board of the last group home my brother lived in. I am nothing like my father and everything like my father. I made every bad decision I could with my life. He let me/made me pay for it. While I always loved him and respected him, we were not really close until my mother passed away 3 years ago. We went from speaking on holidays and fishing trips to almost daily. I see him once or twice a week now. My siblings are out of state and I handle whatever he needs help with. I got a call from him this past Saturday morning. He got T-boned at an intersection and his car ends up hitting a kid on a scooter. Car is, I'm assuming, a total loss. Dad walked away uninjured. He went to church that evening and prayed for the kid he ran into. That's my dad.
