  1. Why bother? Let me guess. You bought the less expensive reels, didn't you?
  2. I'm not advocating leaving the comartment lid closed. I keep mine open. I have the plug adaptor mounted where the starboard gunnel meets the transom. Easy access.
  3. Not familiar with the boat but you can install this http://www.basspro.com/Onboard-Charger-Inlet/product/5205/44748 in the gunnels or somewhere else. You won't have to climb in and out to plug in the charger.
  4. X2 There are also different types of outboard oil. Petroleum based(least expensive) Petroleum/Synthetic(mid range) Full synthetic(most expensive). I use either the petroleum or half and half depending on whats on sale. Either Penzoil, Wally world brand, Cabelas brand or BPS brand. The Quicksilver oil is a little pricier than the ones I've mentioned. As far as I can tell I haven't experienced any ill effects in the last 9 years in my Merc. using the non Merc products.
  5. Doesn't bother me.
  6. You're way da hell up dere!
  7. I don't do FB. It's difficult enough for 2 people to make it work forever. Adding other external influences increases the problem tenfold. I see this in my stepdaughters relationships. She agrees with my observations yet continues to participate in the drama.
  8. The kids seem to enjoy it, and believe it or not the girls seem to be into holding fish more than the boys. My neice loves everything about fishing except baiting the hook. My nephew wants nothing to do with it.
  9. If he had opted for the pink skirt would you still brag about it here
  10. Local 597 has a service division of which I am a journeyman "servicefitter" Pipefitters, Steamfitters, and Tin Knockers cover most of the hvac/r trade. Stationary Engineers dabble in it a bit. As far as Millwrights, I worked a construction job with a few guys from Philly who travel the country building stuff. They built a blast freezer with conveyors for a customer of ours that makes school lunches. We installed the piping and refrigeration units. Real tough gig that pays a TON of money.
  11. Olympiwho'ians?
  12. The trades are physically demanding. Hard work and no work. Joining the union, my advice to you, buy coffee and donuts, listen, and do what you're told. Ask questions but don't question those you ask. Union training is the best training you can get. Make contacts and don't burn bridges. That being said, you can write your own future by being better than everyone else. I'm a union pipefitter and have never been unemployed (knock on wood). Learn all you can. Good or bad, your reputation will follow you.
  13. 3 more days. Da Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Much easier to join a club when you have a boat. As far as skill level, If you can afford the entry fee, that's all the skill you need. There are dozens of bass clubs in IL google "bass club" or "bass tournaments" with your location and you will be directed to a list of clubs. Go from there
  15. The hot weather. Been busy working. Have been fun fishing once, fished 5 tourneys without prefishing, and 1 toc trip in March. My son and I were supposed to go out yesterday but he cancelled, so I washed the car and worked around the house. Such is life.

  17. Why is this not #1 on the charts?
  18. What are you doing hanging out with Long Mikes wife???
  19. DI is standard on the SI unit. SI is not available on the DI unit
  20. I'm in trouble. Been closing splitshots with my teeth for 40 years.
  21. All the advice I got was from my mother "Keep your pecker in your pants"...I didn't listen
  22. What came naturally? Working with my hands. The ability to figure out how stuff works. I used to have alot of game with the ladies but being in a monogamus relationship ruined that. What have I had to work for? Everything...and for that I thank my father for not being filthy rich and handing me everything on a silver platter.
  23. How your 1st year going so far?
