  3. I'm a commercial refrigeration mechanic and, for the better part of 15 years, have done work in just about every major fast food chain. Most everything Taco Bell serves is shipped from a regional warehouse prepackaged in clear plastic bags. The "hot" food is placed frozen, in the bag, into a rethermalizer which is essientialy a drum of boiling water. It is then transfered to the prep area and is kept warm via steam, in the older stores, and dry heat in the newer stores. The cold stuff is moved from the walk in cooler to a refrigerated prep table. As far as how much actual food is in their food, I'm not sure. What do you expect for .99 and served in less than 60 seconds? TB is one of the cleaner fast food chains out there. I've seen it all and I mean all when it comes to the kitchens of restaurants, fast food and sit down, cheap and expensive. All I have to say to that is: It is what it is.
  4. Have yet to use mine, water's a little hard right now. There is an article on them in the Dec. issue of Basswest magazine
  5. Booby trap. Do you live in Vietnam or Korea?
  6. Two muffins are baking in an oven, one looks over and says "boy its hot in here", and the other looks over and says "holy crap!! a talking muffin!"
  7. Fishing around bilgerats sock juice. ;D Can't say that I loathe any kind of technique, although the only time I change from the norm is when I have no clue on getting the fish to bite. There's a time and a place for all of them and it's just a matter of having the knowledge to know what to use when. I guess I loathe the fact that sometimes I'm completely clueless.
  8. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency today waived a limitation on selling gasoline that contains more than 10 percent ethanol for model-year 2001 through 2006 cars, SUVs and light pickup trucks. The agency also announced that no waiver is being granted this year for E15 use in any motorcycles, heavy-duty vehicles or non-road engines, including boat engines, because current testing data do not support such a waiver. Although today's waiver excludes marine engines and other non-road engines, the National Marine Manufacturers Association said it continues to be concerned that EPA does not plan to take significant steps to address anticipated problems with consumer confusion and the risk of misfueling. "EPA's decision to permit the use of E15 for even more on-road vehicles greatly increases the likelihood of misfueling for boats and other small engines," NMMA president Thom Dammrich said in a statement. "NMMA is very disappointed that EPA has decided to move forward with E15 without mechanisms in place to protect consumers from confusion at the gas pump, as well as the product failures that could be a likely result of misfueling with E15." Today's decision comes on the heels of an Oct. 13, 2010 decision in which the EPA approved a waiver allowing the use of E15 for model-year 2007 and newer cars and light trucks. EPA granted the waiver after considering the E15 petition submitted by Growth Energy and 54 ethanol manufacturers in March 2009. "Recently completed testing and data analysis show that E15 does not harm emissions control equipment in newer cars and light trucks," EPA administrator Lisa Jackson said in regard to today's decision. "Wherever sound science and the law support steps to allow more homegrown fuels in America's vehicles, this administration takes those steps." In December, the NMMA filed suit in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, challenging the EPA's earlier decision to approve E15 for model-year 2007 and newer motor vehicles. The NMMA joined the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers and the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers in a newly formed coalition called the Engine Products Group in pursuing this legal challenge. The NMMA said today it will continue to seek relief in the courts, along with two other groups that have filed similar lawsuits.
  9. Soooo... basicaly any color is the right color? I see those pics are geared towards luremakers. I'll stick with blacknblue, pb&j, rusty, and their variations.
  10. bassclary, good luck with the new job. In addition to everything said. Do NOT under any circumstances bad mouth fellow employees and supervisors. You don't know who talks to who. If you were to say something negative about a supervisor and it got back to them it could mean losing a job, a raise. a promotion, etc. All the relationships you build now can also help in the future. If the store has repeat customers, build a relationship with these folks. If you have tradesmen coming into the store it could mean an apprenticeship in the future or a discount on work you may need done at your house. Got to look at the big picture and not just the paycheck. I'd recommend putting at least 10% of your paycheck away in a savings account, or if you're old enough into some type of investment account(research before you commit), AND DON"T TOUCH IT!
  11. Gonna be Bears/Jets in the big game with the Bears coming out on top. The Pack BEARLY beat the Pack at home 3 weeks ago. It was 3-0 thru the 3rd quarter. Bears put the Pack to shame the first game. This year was the perfect example of the "Any given Sunday" theory.
  12. The fact that he rides the little yellow school bus says it all.
  13. 3 fingers of whiskey at 9:00, knocked out at 10:00, wake up at 3:30 good to go. The more you get used to it the less anexiety you experience. The anexiety hits me at the ramp. That's when I start second guessing my set ups and start changing lures or second guessing my game plan of areas to fish.
