The one thing I noticed about junebug is it varies from different mfgs. Most of the other "core" colors are pretty much the same.

The thing is, they did not drop just all at once. Over a period of time more or less. The reason i dont think it is trauma is becasue they fell from the sky....Which would make it so it would show signs of trauma, am i right? And seriously, if these birds died of "fireworks" wouldn't that happen much more. If fireworks trauma is possible, why dont we see like 100000 birds just drop on the 4th of July. Mmmmmmm...somthing smells a little fishy about this whole thing. OH WAIT, 100,000 dead freshwater drum... The reports I heard said approx 6000 birds dropped from the sky and it sounded like hail hitting the ground. I had also herd there were either municipal or private fireworks being blown off. As I stated in my original post, millions of birds are roosting together to keep warm this time of year. This does not happen during the summer because of the warm weather. Or it could be the begining of the Rapture :-/

I'm not aware of a fish kill but the fact that the birds all dropped at the same time, to me, makes the trauma theory believable. Whether it was fireworks, or powerlines, or whatever. This time of year the birds get in flocks of millions to keep warm and provide protection from predators. If they were roosting on the ground and a predator or fireworks spooked them and the birds ran into powerlines or something else(birds don't fly at night because they can't see well in the dark) seems alot more plausible than eating bad bugs.

You cannot cure an addiction by overindulging in it. My advice to you would be to take up jigs or hard baits. As you asked I shall wish you luck, although watermelon red flake would have been my choice.

I like mine. It excells at river/current fishing. As far as the hand held control. I don't find it very distracting. (except reading the LED screen with polarized glasses on is difficult) Under "normal" conditions, it's set it and forget it. As far as lifting the motor up to get thru the muck with the powerdrive2 there is a quick release handle, you push it down and the motor tilts up. You can hold the motor head as high or low as you want to avoid the obstacles, and it snaps easily back into place. I have no experience with a cable driven TM. I went from a powerdrive V w/autopilot to the V2 ipilot but I have heard response is not as quick. The spotlock feature works well. First time out with it I was fishing a river with strong current one direction and 20mph variable winds with gusts up to 30. I could have fished in one place til the batteries died. I have yet to use the trackback feature.

Is it carburated? Do you ever add seafoam or other additives to the gas? Does this only happen when it's cold outside?
