  1. There's a video somewhere of a guy is dragging a lure across crystal clear ice and a fish is slamming its head into the ice trying to eat the lure.
  2. So you're saying she has bad taste? Neighbors dog got Lyme disease. 2 years later she was put to sleep because she could no longer walk.
  3. With the rain and snow melt from the last 2 weeks, my home water is near summer pool. The raising water should bring the crappies and bass into the channels to start the prespawn rituals. I just hope the DNR doesn't keep dumping water thru the locks. May 1st is when they close the southern locks and fill the lakes with water from Wisconsin.
  4. Actually sunny and mid 40's today. The snow that fell yesterday is melted. Supposed to rain all week. Next weekend weather permitting, I'll be meat fishing.
  5. All my double digit bass have been the early release kind.
  6. I thought April Fools was yesterday. 2" of snow so far today and it's coming down pretty good. What a joke!
  7. Event was canceled do to low registration numbers.
  8. If you have young kids, CCFD has an event at Bode Lake on Sunday to look at aquatic life. Weather permitting, I'll be there with the grandkid. Will probably drop a line as well. https://fpdcc.com/event/pond-dipping/
  9. Last time I was in FL fishing was maybe 10 or so years ago in February. I was on Lake Toho. The reeds were still dead from the previous year but the lanes thru the reeds were very prominent. I could see how serious issues could occur if the reeds were full blown.
  10. Was a youtube suggestion. Never heard of them before
  11. @clayton86can attest to that
  12. I manage a commercial/industrial HVAC/R supply house. I've been waiting on some parts for over a year. It's been good and bad and by that, I mean I've been able to upsell, sell in bulk, and get PO's quicker. Fortunately, for me, I'm not an OEM. The OEM's are suffering because they can only sell their stuff. For example, the local Carrier distributor sells Carrier gas valves, which are manufactured by White Rodgers. They need to purchase them from Carrier whereas I buy directly from White Rodgers. Carrier ran out of certain gas valves this winter. I have since run out of the White Rodgers valves because people couldn't get them from Carrier. The other advantage I have is I can cross reference many out of stock parts to another brand. The OEM's can't do this. Lastly, I'm smart enough to sell a single stage gas valve as a replacement for the 2 stage valves they(we) are out of. A 2 stage gas valve has a low fire and high fire vs a single stage gas valve that only fires on high fire. Yes, you'll lose efficiency but you'll have heat. The OEM will only sell you what belongs in thee furnace. This summer should be interesting as there is a shortage of compressor components. No components means no compressors and yes, I've been waiting on some compressors for over a year. Again, I have the ability to cross reference to other manufacturers.
  13. Illinois doesn't have reciprocity with any state. I believe you can get an IL. CCL as a non resident but be prepared to give up some hefty cash.
  14. A boat drivers license? People can't even drive cars and they take a test for a license. A common sense license should be required to operate both a motor vehicle and a boat.
  15. 20* here right now and a dusting of snow yesterday.
  16. I traveled in the past to compete. It sucked.
