  1. I will not speak for catt but the words above have never applied. You once said, and I'm paraphrasing, that if you helped only one person on this site that would be fine. The thing about that; you have helped many, many, many, people on this site. I personally can't thank you enough for what you have added here and whether I've put it into practice or not, it always gave me pause to think. You will always be a valued member here Tom and there are many folks here that are here for you.

  4. I thought about bringing that thread back but there was so little interest I let it go. To be fair though there were a few that always chimed in.
  5. Put a smallie beaver on a 3/16 or 1/4 oz. Shakeyhead.... Fish it in thick brush and hang on.
  6. I use them on occasion mostly around Cypress knees in the swamp. It's great seeing Rebel baits mentioned and used!

  10. I live in Morganton NC in the foothills. Lake James is 30 minutes from me. It's a tough but good fishery. It has Brown fish, Green fish, Walleye, and I have heard, Musky. It's colder deep water. My home lake Rhodhiss is primarily Green bass water. It's a little fickle but a decent fishery. It's 15 minutes from me. Lake Hickory is a good lake but gets busy from Memorial day through Labor day. There are good numbers and size and there are some DD's swimming around this lake. It's 30+ minutes from me. Norman is an hour + away. Read above about the fishing. There's plenty of trout fishing an hour or two away. Edit: from May until sometime in September I usually fish at night. It's cooler and the boat traffic is much lower.
