Post a photo a day!
Tresa and myself do what grandparents do in that we spoil our grandchildren. The boys play sports and are sportsman. I can personally guarantee they will never have a want with regards to fishing. They are funny and good little people, I love having them visit. The little girl came along and the only change is there is now different toys in GiGi and Poppy's toy box. lol The boys are rough and tumble and she's got her own little soft personality! Tresa(wife) has bought more clothes in the year this little one has been on this Earth than I have in five years. Anyway, I can make her laugh by being goofy and while I know this will be relatively short lived I will take advantage of the time frame given. At little Emma's birthday party a few weeks ago I was acting a fool and Tresa got this shot. Made my day!

Just wanted to thank everyone for this forum
This is incredibly well said. I used to visit here multiple times a day. In the last two years it has been 4-5 times a week. Each time I visit now there are more times than not that when I leave I come out with something that is useful in one way or another. This is the type of post that reinforces my belief that Bassresource and it's members are reason enough to get here more often! I thank you for posting your story sir!

Slowing Down
I have fished my home lake for many years. I know the lake well and I know several places that hold fish. It was easy to get caught up in what I knew and simply made my milk run. I knew when to fish fast or slow. I was usually fairly successful and got into that routine and was quite content. I tend to fish slowly and got into a habit of quickly bringing the bait back to the boat after it was away from the target. One day I was thinking about how I learned to fish a plastic worm. I cast to the target and fished it back to the boat and thought about how many fish I caught right under the boat. As a test I made my milk run but fished the each bait all the way back to the boat and was quite surprised at the additional fish I caught by making that one change. The above has little to do with the speed question ... but.... It kind of does in that I don't cover near as much water but as @Cattalluded to I'm actually being quite efficient while fishing slow. As I've gotten older I tend to be more calm and don't sweat the small stuff. If I lose a fish I get over it quickly and keep fishing. I enjoy the trip a heck of a lot more and if there's any second guessing it happens when I get home. I also tend to fish the way I want to which is slow. It's my nature. I will change if needed and on occasion I will cover a great deal of water just to do it. In the end though, I like to fish slow, enjoy my day/night, and ALWAYS very thankful I can still do something I love to do. Edit: I have no idea why the A-Jay deal is at the bottom and it won't let me delete it. So... Hello my friend and glad you got included in my post, intended or not. lol @A-Jay
