  1. I agree completely! I too tried them because all of the hype on here! The toads produce no better than my Ribbits, the anaconda produces no better than my PowerBait worms and the Space monkey/craw is no better than my PowerBait Chiggers! Just my opinion from using these baits on my lakes!
  2. I'm with you on this one man! The Revos are the best thing to happen to me! I can cast an 1/8oz T-Rigged worm just as good as a 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap with my Revos! I epecially like my HS STX reels. I think those who dislike them are either uninterested in learning them or are already bias but trying them anyways, Just my opinion though!
  3. All depends on weather conditions and water clarity IMO! If the water is dark/dirty than the sound and visibility of the lure come into play a little more. In clearer water it can be size, shape, color and speed. I think that in stained water they will bite anything that moves!
  4. They only produce for me in the hotter months like right now!
  5. Since all i do is flip and pitch heavy cover here in FL, i invested in two set-ups! First one is a Powell Max 766H 7' 6" rod paired with a Revo STX 7:1:1 reel and 65lb Suffix braid. The rod was $175 and the reel was $170. This is by far my strongest and favorite combo! My second set-up is a Falcon Cara T7 Amistad in 7' 3" H/F for lighter cover. It is paired with a Revo SX in 6:4:1 ratio and 20lb BPS fluorocarbon. The rod was $200 and the reel was $145.
  6. I was about to ask just what i was suppose to be looking at with in the first pic you posted! That is pretty spooky indeed man!
  7. Same ones that catch em every other year! Plastic worms Senkos Rat-L-Traps
  8. Absolutely beautiful fish!
  9. On the lakes i fish women are actually pretty common! I just saw one this past weekend in a HUGE bass boat(about 21ft) custom painted in pink with lightning airbrush work done. It had all black and pink painted interior. And to top it all off, she was flippin' grass mats like a pro! I almost fell in love at first site, LOL!!!!!!!!!!
  10. It's really not worth it if you don't have the right rod. If you fish uglysticks and canepoles you probably can't tell the difference. But believe me, use some quality graphite and the difference between lead and tungsten is night and day. So i guess the Loomis, Powell, Falcon and Shimano rods i use are not quality graphite! Think before you make ridiculous, uneducated comments!!!!
  11. WOW, he pretty much covered it all! I use strictly braid now for flippin'/pitchin'heavy cover! Word of advice though, use superline hooks and don't set the hook too hard. You will either rip some lips or bend some hooks out!
  12. I think drifting along the bank with a night crawler on a bobber type of fishing is indeed relaxing! The bass fishing we do in FL is anything but! It is a mental and physical game while on the hunt for a hawg!
  13. I use 20-25# fluoro for 1/4-3/8oz jigs with no issues! Even with STIFF BPS line!
  14. That is awful man! I had a similar experience on a big lake in my area(Lake Istokpoga). God and my bilge pump saved us though! The important thing is that you are OKAY! BE VERY THANKFUL
  15. It is DEADLY weightless on a SuperLine hook around cover for me! The flutter on the fall can be somewhat like a Senko's magic!
  16. No Revo S's? Yes, i have two S models that i use for crankin and spinner baits! I love them BTW! But i have more of the STX and SX(10 to be exact)!!! ;D
  17. I use the Alurring baits craw beavers in 4.25" and they are perfect for heavy cover!
  18. Presentation is key IMO! I believe as long as you are working that bait exactly how they want to see it, everything else matters very little!
  19. I could not have said it better myself RoLo! I have been invited to many clubs and tournaments but decline for this reason! The only tornaments i like are between me and my big mouth brother!!!! ;D
  20. I use the plain black lead weights for almost every style of fishing i do! I only use Tungsten for flippin because of the size reduction, not sensitivity! I find Tungsten no more sensitive than lead!
  21. This one is easy! A 10" Berkley PowerBait worm in all black!
  22. Man you hit it right on the head with the whole speed flippin' thing! That is what we have been doing for the last month and boy has it produced! On the last trip i only cranked the outboard once to switch spots. But my right arm/hand could not even lift my fork to eat by the end of the 10hr day, LOL! I should diet anyways though!!! ;D
