Losing many fish
Hard to tell from the picture but she was the longest bass I've caught. For reference I'm 6' tall, her mouth is pretty much even with the top of my head & her tail reached my waist.

Losing many fish
Only if I'm fishing saltwater & its made of stainless steel. 15# Big Game, 3/8-1/2 oz jig in deepwater on a long cast. Everything you're told won't work with mono. You will also hear you can't use mono in heavy cover (grass/wood), I beg to differ.

Control From the moment my rod starts moving up I want to turn her head & get her coming towards me all in one motion. That's why I'll jerk one clean over my head or ski it back to the boat. It was too little! If she runs or dives, I let my rod take over, that's what I bought it for. Ya gotta stay in control all the way to the thumb.- Improper to use the same lure as someone else?
👍 I fished a lot of Team Tournaments where both anglers are only allowed to weigh 5 bass total. One angler is allow to catch 4, the other has to catch 1. A key to winning is having 2 anglers with similar skill sets. Once a pattern is established the 2 switch to the same lures & hammer on em.- Improper to use the same lure as someone else?
Still ain't got enough likes For years it was a friend of mine, now it's my grandson Aiden. When one of us is on, y'all in trouble. When both of us are on, y'all donated your entry fee!- Bream correlation with color of plastic worms?
When I noticed a significant increase in "bream" bites I switch to a Jig-n-Craw or creature baits in colors that resembles bream. Bass love to eat sunfish. Y'all ain't never fished the Bream spawn?- Old-School Lures that Work Great.
- Confidence baits vs being stubborn
I like the way Mr Klein explained it. If there's a 6# bass on a bush in a small cove & if Larry Nixon went by he would catch it on a worm, if Denny Brauer went by he would catch it on a Black-n-Blue jig, if Rick Clunn went by he would catch it on a spinnerbait. The key was not the lure, it was the location, & the angler who decided it fish it. Right place at the right time.- Confidence baits vs being stubborn
Larry Nixon is known as Mr. Versatile but not because of being able to use multiple techniques. But because of he's ability to quickly read changing water conditions & still throw his beloved worm. Rick Clunn & Gary Klein both say anglers give too much credit to the lure & not enough credit to the angler. All three change locations before techniques. My opinion, if you can't catch with successfully with a technique year round, you ain’t mastered it.- Fishing Lily Pad Covered Waters?
I fish an area very similar, it's doesn't have that much "grass", our marshes definitely do. The biggest problem with "bank" fish is you have no way of knowing if the bass are there. Throw a frog, swimjig, Fluke or Senko in the openings or a punch rig.- Tried and true, or something new(?)
Tried & True 100% 😉 Yeah some days I'll throw something new or graph new locations but when I wanna jack some jaws it's old school.- So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
I need directions on how to get to the Big Pond?- Daiwa Baitcasting Rods vs Edge Baitcasting Rods

Catt & Pat are sitting on a little ridge just south of Indian Mounds; full moon is barely on the horizon, slight southerly breeze. I make a long cast towards deep water and start the count down to the bottom. The Texas rigged worm settles down when there's that classic "Thump", drops the rod, reel the slack, and set the hook. Nothing gives, then in a microsecond on my knees, rod half under water. Catt: Yells get the net! Pat: For what! Catt: I think he's heading for the Louisiana side Pat: You gonna land em or what Catt: Aint you suppose to play em first? Finally back to my feet, line singing again, drag slipping, rod all bowed up. Catt: He's headed for Six Mile, if you start the big motor we can head em off. Pat now standing behind me: Want me to pour some water on your reel? Catt: No! just get the gun! Look a swirl just under the surface, a sudden dive for freedom, your mine sucker. Pat with quick move and it's in the net: Took you long enough. Catt falls back into the seat drops his rods on the deck: Dude let's see it. Pat turn on the interior lights: Shoot it's only a stripper! Catt sits up, lips it and grabs the tail, gotta be at least 36" Pat digs around in the console for the scales 16 LB 5 OZ. Catt: Slipping it back in, that's a hawg right there. Pat: Don't count it's a stripper! Catt: Still a hawg Pat: You're still down 7 to 4, shut up & fish.- What's your 1 lure/2 color choice?

- Night fishing in Fall/winter?
Exact reason I night fish I have fished some in late February & March; couple 7-8s. Early November, caught numbers.- Night fishing in Fall/winter?
I night fish from April to October, the rest of the year its daytime. I have several friends who night fish year round.- Night fishing in Fall/winter?
Probably the biggest misconception is that bass feed better at night. Yes & No! A Bass's "clock" is its digestive system & its reproductive system. When its time to eat, they eat, when its time to reproduce, they reproduce. Back to the OP, yes bass will bite 24/7/365. It is simple guys, water temperatures effects metabolism, metabolism effects how fast the digestive system works. High body temperature, fast digestion, more food required. Low body temperatures, slow digestion, less food required.- A Pro Angler Voices Concerns About FFS
