Very comfortable, sensitive, handsome grip design
Sharp looking grip. I like the Aeros uplocking. I do a little shorter foregrip through.

Advise on a new st croix rod
I'd go with the M/F. IMO, there are gaps between ML & M and M & MH in St. Croix's powers. Like said above, their MH is like everyone else's H.

front fishfinder
It's kinda pointless having a bow mount sonar with the transducer on the transom. You're already past what is on the screen.

New (to me) bass boat problems :(
I'd question if it is being trimmed propely, both at take-off and once planed out. If it's not trimmed all the way under, it will struggle to get up and if left in the same position, will not achieve max RPM. My stepdad was around boats all his life and never understood trimming. He said "all the way down to run and all the way up to trail." He never could figure why the boat always ran better for me than him!

2 slow days and one great Erie day
We didn't get to leave on Friday as the wife had a late appointment at work and didn't get home til 9. Left early on Saturday and just used it to open up camp and relax. Got out Sunday for a few hours and it really sucked. I got one on a spybait, the wife got one on a tube and I got 2 drum on a Vision 110 and 3 rock bass and a goby on a dropshot. When pulling the boat out, the rear brake line blew out on my Tahoe. No fishing on Monday cause the rental didn't have a hitch!

Just took a walk to the bluff at camp. Lake is like glass right now.

3 bank charger
I put a ProMariner Pro Tournament 3 bank in my Lund when I bought it in 2005. It has kept my Blue Tops in working order since then.

Leaving after the wife gets home from work tonight!

MHX Elite Pro Series
I've been saying that for a while, but there are some that put them on a pedestal with SCVs and NFC HMs. They're not even in the same zip code.

green matte reel seat
Yea. I get my EVA blocks from Billy.

Got a new Boat ~
Sharp rig! When I ordered my Lund in 2005, it was the longest 10 weeks of my life!

I don't think so. He's a big Vision 110 fan.

Replacing guide
Significant weight reduction where it matters........the top 1/3 of the rod.

green matte reel seat
Maybe Matagi.

Charging 24 volt trolling motor
No. Only if they were parallel would both charge from one charger.

Replacing guide
That's a mighty big guide to be that far out on a rod!

Onboard Charger Question
If it wasn't for the fact I needed to replace my batteries this season, I would have bought a one bank charger for the starter. More economical to replace 3 batteries than 4 plus a charger! I'm eliminating the accessory battery and I got a bigger starter this time.
-
Onboard Charger Question
Go with the 3 bank. For the last 2 seasons, I ran 4 batteries off of a 3 bank charger. I hated it. The alternator didn't charge at a high enough rate. I always had to put a charger on the starting battery to get it to full. Going back to a 3 battery system this year to make things more simple.

Won't plane, Prop spins out on stratos 201 pro
This was my problem when I bought my boat. The dealer set it up with a prop for a 130hp which has a small gear case than the 135hp. The exhaust was blowing out in front of the blades. Almost no gap with the proper prop.

Duckett Ghost inserts (?) grooving
It's all about the $$$. A set like that on the OEM pricing level is < $1.00. Good guides would cost them 5 or 6 times that. Maybe a bit more.

Duckett Ghost inserts (?) grooving
It doesn't matter what line you use, that style of guide will groove. Especially the tip. As DVT said, it's the particles of dirt deposited on the line, not the type of line.

Am I safe to use braid on a loomis GL2?
If it's a ceramic insert, you'll be just fine.

two fish finders at helm?
If you keep it, mount a transducer plate on the boat, that way you never have to drill any more holes in the boat to change transducers.
