  1. You need to have it built on a different blank for what you want to use it for.
  2. Shimano sometimes over grease their reels. It might need a cleaning & a relube.
  3. I fish Santee Cooper so I pay attention to wind direction & speed. I like to fish the windward side with a spinnerbait. the wind blows the bait fish into the banks. I'll go up to 25 to 30 mph but at that speed there is plenty of shelter in a large area close by the launch site. I have been caught at the lower end of the lake when the wind came up to 40+ & I was 11 miles from the landing. I fish out of a Ranger Z21 so I put it on the pad timed the waves & buy using speed, Jackplate, & trim I stayed dry. That was scary & & I now have a radio that keeps you informed on weather conditions on the water ways.
  4. I called & placed a order today. They told me the shipping date is 5/5/2020 & it coming by ground & it would take about 7 days to reach me in S.C.. I was also told I would be notified if shipped earlier & that is when my card would be charged. I might have found someone shipping sooner but I have been dealing with them for years & always have had excellent service. It's not there fault this happened so I opted to to place my order. I normally pay the $5. for the 2 day air. they don't have that right now so I'll just wait for it to get here.
  5. I think the question is between the Curado DC & the SLX DC system. I have a Curado KXG which does not have the I-DC4 brake system which the Curado DC has. I ended up with the Scorpion DC & have been using for a while now. I like it enough That I just ordered another. The Scorpion DC is the Japanese version of the Curado DC with the I-DC 5 brake system. Chadm ask specifically the for the comparison between the above 2 DC reels. I do not have the SLX DC reel but mentioned the Scorpion DC because of the better DC system Kicker I appreciate your information on the Curado K but I don't think it answers the question, nor does mine completely.

  7. Use them for bait.
  8. Check out the Dobyns rods Fury & Sierra Series Rods these are well under $200 & you want to go a bit higher look at their refurbished rods. I would call and tell them you need some help on choosing a jig rod. These people are very helpful just tell them what you are looking for.
  9. Excellent reply evilcatfish.
  10. Catt is spot on with his answer, Zoom owns that market.
  11. If people stop buying them they will fix the problem.

Yes. I always fish the front to the back. If you catch a fish a fish in the back 1st, The fight getting it to the boat is libel to spook any fish that might be there. Especially if the fish your fighting gets tangled up in a limb on the way out & you need to move to get a better angle to land the one you have hooked.
  13. I buy many of my reels from Digitaka in Japan & mine come thru customs in N.Y. It usually takes 3 or 4 days to go thru customs there. I see you are in Texas so I doubt yours will go to N.Y. probley Chicago or L.A. & more likely the latter. So there time will probley be different.
  14. I agree with MN Fisher. I have 2 of those reels & that is what it takes.
  15. Excellent reply MN Fisher!
  16. I agree with Jrob78.
  17. I have been fishing since 1945 & don't remember after 1
  18. The rod you use has a whole lot to do with the weight of the bait you are trying to cast. Using a Dobyns Extreme DX 734C with a Shimano Scorpion 71 XG spooled with 12lb Gamma copoly fishing a weightless Senko I get 35 plus yards. I get about the same with a 3/16 oz weight fishing a Big Bite Craw worm
  19. I own a few of both the 684C & 734C. Either will work for what you ask about. The Champion XP Is more sensitive than the Sierra but if your looking for sensitivity the Champion Extreme is the way to go. I use the shorter Sierra's when I am fishing in the Cypress tree's & the longer Champion in the grass & on the flats fishing Senko's.
  20. I remember When Raul was the baitmonkey.
  21. I purchased 14 Booyah xcs squarebills from them. They came today & 6 or so were wrapped individually In plastic bags. Has anyone else had this happen?
  22. Do you mean It's not working, if so send it to DVT. http://delawarevalleytackle.com/
  23. i would try a Colorado/Indiana combo 1st. I would also use a smaller spinnerbait say 1/4 oz or maybe a 5/16 oz. If it,s a bright sunny day try a double willow.
