metal/hard rock fans??
Certain times i listen to hard stuff. Majority of the time I listen to what some people call "jam" rock. Listen to and follow a somewhat local band called Widespread Panic, awesome music check them out if you havent heard them before. .....other than that bluegrass, acid jazz, outlaw country...

Pre Tournament Jitters
I dont really get nervous or anything anymore. I dont sleep good the night before ever. Just too much on my mind. especially if I have been pre-fishing. I crank up the Pantera and Metallica at 4 am no matter who is asleep on my floor. I just want to get out there and see if things work.

Guns and roses.
Use your Illusion 1 and 2 were awesome too in my opinion.

Shakey Head?
Are there time to use a jighead w/ a 60 degree hook eye as compared to times to use the standard hook that is in line with the hook? Or is it personal preference? I like a 60. I use bite-me heads.

Shakey head hooks?
I have fished alot of different jigheads and I like the Bite-me heads with the 60 degree flat-eye hooks best. These heads seem to be alot more sensitive and come through cover better and the hooks are great. Are there situations to use jigheads with a normal 60 or 90 degree hook? or is just personal preference?

Braid?
Been using PowerPro for 5 or 6 years now. I like it, just curious as to what else is out there and what makes it better than other braids. I have had the most success with the 8lb dia. 30lb test but i have to use leader. The braid itself seems to wear quick if you use bullet wts. with it directly and I dont like to use leaders because it adds another knot to fail. Which linemaker makes the smallest diameter braid for the lb test? Mainly 40-65lb range. Anybody use braid for carolina and t-rigging? If so what line do you use?

best bait for spawn
I think the question was what lures to try, not whether ot not he should be trying to catch them that way.How they need to do the opposite. Or how they need to buy a Loomis rod and shimano reel to catch anything. It never fails. : :) But anyway, When they are bedding and will not bite anything. I have discovered that a 5 or 6" senko-style worm, t-rigged with a 3/8 oz tungsten wt. blue or junbug worm works the best in murky water on cloudy days and green-pumpkin with the tail colored blue with a marker when its sunny and the water is a little less stained. This really paid off for me in tournaments last year during march and april.

Lures banned by FLW
Dont know about that. No one won a tournament using it last year. But I do know for a fact that GA DNR considers powerbait and anything similar the same as live bait. At least when in comes to artificial lure only water. Somthing to think about.

Football Jigs
Football Jigs.....I know the when, how and where to fish them......What I need to know is: Any experts on these? What sizes do you use when? Colors? Line? I want to know what works best for fishing them, so i can cut down on my learning curve.

i truley do not like chatterbaits
I think they are crap. I will not buy one. Will not fish one.Few years and they will be right there with the banjo minnow and the helicopter lure. When they came out people around here were paying $20 a piece for them only to have them break the first time out. Too much in the design can go wrong. And the post about El Salto.....What dont the fish eat down there when they are biting?

Waders
Breathable, stockingfoot and buy a good wading boot. If you are going to wear them alot, get breathable stocking foot. I used Hodgeman breathables for a longtime until I bought a pair of Orvis Pro-guides. If you can afford it and do alot of bushwhacking to fish, get a tougher wader w/ knee pads. If not the basic breathables will do. But do not skimp on the boots. They will make or ruin your day.

BPS Braided line - Junk?
Fish it and it will get better. You should be good on braid for a while. All braid is made in the same building, only thing different is coating/dye. Fireline isnt a braid. At least that is what i was told by several people in the know, last time i bought alot of braid, few years ago. This may have changed. I remember getting some spiderwire in the past that had alot of memory at first. I got like 500 yards of Remington braid at walmart once for $5 i think. It was almost Identical to the powerpro i was using at them time. That stuff lasted forever and i fish 200 or so days a year.

Tackle Bag Suggestions
GO to an REI store or REI.com, Look up daypacks. I have used a half dome bag for years for bank/river/stream fishing and hunting and everything else I do. Be careful with what bag you get, especially from Walmart. Every bag I have bought from there, the zippers wearout quick if they ever work right. Flambeau's are the worse.

Weigh Bags and Juice
Please release me works well. Bass Pro has nice weigh -in bags. The shop that sponsors me gave me a nice one with their logo on it and all, dont know where he got them made.

Jig and toad rod
I have a 6'10 Team Allstar that works well. I am about to buy the Daiwa Light and tough 7'4" frog rod, just to add another flipping stick to my arsenal.

The IGFA and state fishing laws
Hold your breath ;D..........If this turns into anything like the world record smallmouth epic :, it might take a while for all this to get straight. As with most freshwater records of any importance, I have a feeling The new WR LM when caught wont be caught by anybody that has devoted their lives to the fish...It will be someone that probably isnt out looking for the fish. More than likely someone not even fishing for bass. And most of all in an unlikely place.

when is fishing not fun?
I fish 200+ plus logged days (including tournaments) a year. Havent burnt out yet. Have had to have carpel tunnel(buzzkill) surgery on both arms in the last 5 months....And now a foot surgery I have been putting off for 4 or 5 years. Just got through week 1 of 6 of having to keep weight off foot....fishing in pain is a buzzkill, but not being able to fish sucks.

BUZZBAIT OR SPINNERBAIT
50 degree water temp isnt very warm for a power plant lake. :-?..Go throw the buzzbait and rattletrap in shallow water around hot water discharge. You might be suprised. But a slow rolled spinnerbait and a small crankbait will be your best bet.

hunting dogs
I have a yellow lab. A female named Drake. Go with a lab. I trained mine myself using the book "Water Dog." Great duck dog and will hunt anything and she is house-trained. Do yourself a favor and go with a female lab. DO alot of research about picking a puppy that way you will know what to look for when you go to pick one out of a litter. Dont get one older than 8 weeks. I had mine retrieving in the water at 10 weeks old. Get them comfortable in water at soon as possible. If you have anymore questions IM me.

Opinions on the movie BORAT!
Watched it today ;D. Thought it was hilarious without any mood enhancement....

Jig trailer?
Zoom chunks and Twin tail fat albert grubs.

BUZZBAIT OR SPINNERBAIT
Go with the buzzer if the water is 65 or higher. I like a chartruese, black, purple, white skirt with a smokey joe fluke for a trailer. Have also caught some pigs with a firetiger skirt. They are by far my top 2 colors for spinnerbaits and buzzers. and I fish them alot.
