  1. Seems like those areas that had problems in the past get revitalized, yet, an area with little previous problems become a chronic problem. Just a vicious cycle I guess.
  2. Hey tip Glad to see you, man! Good to hear about some of the changes you made, hope all of them work out for you.
  3. Nicely done, buddy! I was at it this morning after being away all weekend, although I brought some dumbbells with me, so I got a small workout on Saturday. Decided to jump rope this morning just to get the blood flowing. 5 boxer rounds, 3 min on, 1 min off. For strength work it was press in s n a t c h (sots press), back squats, s n a t c h. Accessory work with resistance bands mostly for external rotation, and finally 1/2 kneeling bent press for thoracic rotation and shoulder stability with a fairly light kettlebell. S n a t c h form was on point today. Good overhead position and lockout, great bottom position, below parallel. Sat very comfortably in an upright overhead squat. Probably the best in forever.
  4. OUCH!!! I've been in construction full time since 1987. Started as a carpenter and now work in commercial construction as a superintendent. Thankfully I still have all my digits...
  5. I'm at a loss for words A-Jay. I can't offer you wisdom I can't offer you medical help And I can't offer you a cure The only things I can offer is hope and prayers. I hope for a healthy solution and prayers for speedy results. Be strong mi amigo. John
  6. I know, it’ll be a barn burner for sure! Look forward to it! Good luck to your O’s.
  7. Coming from a Sox fan, it's nice to see the O's playing for something thing this September! Injuries killed the Sox this year. I'm hoping they don't blow the team up too much in the offseason. With the Sox healthy, imagine what the American League East will be like next season?
  8. Other than a fly rod, one of the ways I fished for bluegill still used a dry fly. I would take the back treble off a pop'r and tie on a leader with a dry fly. Every so often I'd pop it. Once in a while I'd get a bass on the middle treble, but more often than not I'd get a bluegill on the fly.
  9. I was thinking of a different type of 8 ball A-Jay.
  10. I think I'd show my wife the moon if she asked me to move to a colder climate than Massachusetts.
  11. I remember catching Dogfish (sand shark) and goosefish with my brother-in-law about 10 years ago. They were in very shallow - less than 10' of water. It was the last time I ever caught them. Barracuda must have been fun! Looks like you had a great day.
  12. Western - Rio Bravo (John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan) WW2 - Either Tora Tora Tora, Midway or Kelly's Heroes Holiday - White Christmas (Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye), We're no Angels (Humphry Bogart, Peter Ustinov, Aldo Ray) Comedy - Has to be Caddy Shack (I know, not circa 1960) The Apartment was funny No category - To Kill a Mockingbird
  13. Hello Kevin, glad you joined us! Congrats to you and your family @Mike L.
  14. Good luck in your journey @Tennessee Boy! I, unfortunately, have to settle for being average at things and maybe better than average at very few things. I have a few more years before I can get out more consistently to try and get better than average at a lot of things.
  15. But what if you were much better than average at a lot of things, wouldn't that be better than being a master at one thing?
  16. I like it. I don't think it's that expensive? It's a good line tho.
  17. @slonezp You're doing it the right way.
  18. OMG...Forgot about Lita Ford! "Went to a party last Saturday night, didn't get 1@!6, I got into a fight, uh-huh"
  19. I'm not sure. There really wasn't a lot of information on different techniques back then. When I was a kid dad wasn't into fishing and we didn't have any magazines like Field & Stream or Outdoor Life come to the house. I just learned what I could learn from watching others. Back then and just like now, I'm just happy to get out and enjoy being on the water and forgetting about the stresses in life that generally persist day by day. I guess if there is a regret it's not having the information we have now.
  20. Rest up @A-Jay
  21. Actually surprised the Patriots are rated as high as they are. I would have thought a little worse than 50-1 odds.
