  1. WOW! Those look amazing. Great work! 8-)
  2. Without this site I would not be the angler I am today. It would have taken me years to gain some of the knowledge I have gained from here. There is no way to put into words how much this place means to me.
  3. Great work Nick! Sounds like you had fun. Too bad your camera didn't want to cooperate. Sorry for the delay...my brain pooped out when I deleted your address! :-[
  4. The only bass I consistently feel hit a drop shot are in the 1 to 3 pound range. Most bass above 3 pounds just cause the rod to load up. You really have to be on top of it in order to notice.
  5. 6 "new" people. I've known some of them for a while but never fished with them until this year.
  6. I don't use fluorocarbon but I have noticed the same thing. Little bass will hit the line where it enters the water. This happens all the time.
  7. My thoughts exactly. Russ, Where did you get that topo map?
  8. I agree with LBH. Fish when you can. Interesting article. I bet more big bass would be caught after 8pm if more people fished after 8pm.
  9. Nick, That's awesome! You deserve it.
  10. Click Here
  11. I'm sold on the Quick Drops weights. I bought a pack last week and have used them during the last few outings. I've lost less weights and feel the bottom just as well as I would with a round weight (if not better). And the price is right ($2.89 for 10/$.29 per weight). Everyone who drop shots should give 'em a try. I think you will like 'em. Thank you to everyone who has recommended them. You guys were right.
  12. I have a favorite lake that I go to 90% of the time. But I have not "mastered" it yet. There are really great times...and really bad ones. Still learning a lot.
  13. My friend Kevin. We've been friends since 6th grade. Didn't really start hanging out until after high school. We both started bassin' at the same time last year after a few trout sessions. He caught the first "big" bass that I lipped (8-05).
  14. My dad. We used to go salt water fishing all the time. We never did fresh water for some reason. He hasn't gone fishing in years. I've asked him to go with me but he doesn't seem very interested. He is a workaholic. It's either work...or Maui for a couple of weeks! 8-)
  15. A boat. That is what I need right now.
  16. Nope! I would be a liar if I said that it has not crossed my mind! ;D
  17. Powerbait...reminds me of trout fishing. Seriously though...I have some power worms and I don't like them very much. I also have some Frenzy jerkbaits that are decent.
  18. I'm sure it happens a lot out here. I have not seen any illegal activity myself...but if or when I do...I'm calling the authorities. 1-888-DFG-CALTIP is programmed in my cell phone.
  19. It is illegal to transport live sport fish in California. Check your local law before doing something that may get you in trouble.
  20. Tackle Warehouse
  21. No 20? I want one at 22lbs. 6oz. (or bigger) to set the record straight.
  22. Thanks guys. And a special thanks to LBH for starting such a cool thing and Avid for choosing me as a recipient. It was really cool holding the charm knowing where it's been and wondering where it might travel to down the road. You don't get to do something like this everyday. Cool stuff. 8-)
  23. Call the authorities. Don't just let 'em have it!
