What hooks do you personally use for these t-rigs?
Minimum 4/0 Gammy ewg or Trokar hooks for all t rigs. (I don't think I even own a 3/0) Mike

What is a popular opinion you disagree with?
That mono is the be all end all of all fishing lines in existence! That fluorcarbon is the bane of the amateur fishing world... You will lose fish when switching hands to reel right when casting right. Bass are line shy Jerk baits and traps are only effective in cold water Frog bite dies when the sun reaches a certain height 80# braid is overkill Spinning rods can do anything a casting rod can do 600.00 rods and 400.00 reels increases your chance of catching a fish High speed reels are only good for bottom contact presentation's Low speed reels are only good for deep diving cranks (There's a lot more) Mike

Fenwick to release a new Techna ?
We can only hope! If it's anything like the AV, anyone who needs a rod should really check them out. Mike

Who else uses exclusively soft plastics and jigs.
Depends on the water and conditions what I use the most. Most times I'll start with plastic, but sometimes If they're not hitting plastics I'll throw what I need to throw. Mike

Rage Tail Craw vs. Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw vs. V&M Wild Thang Craw
The speed craw is my #1 choice for when a swimming worm is needed. It can be deadly throughout the water column especially on top through the slop. Personnly I use the magnum more than any other size. The Craw is my #2 choice for most all bottom contact presentations. Haven't used the VM. Never had a reason too. Mike

Best knot for snapping baits.
I use Flouro on every combo I own except 2.. For years the only knot for me has been the San Diego Jam. There are others and you'll hear about them soon, but to me there is none better. Mike

Bassmasters top 100 bass lakes 2019
2 drunks are sitting at a bar in "Anywhere USA" Drunk 1...Wanna go bass fishing? Drunk 2...Sure, where you want to go? Drunk 1...Bassmasters said the best place to go is the St Lawrence River. Drunk 2...Where the heck is that? Drunk 1...Someplace NE of here Drunk 2...Yeah but, if we're going all that way I want a chance to catch a 10+ and maybe another 50 while I'm at it. Drunk 1...Well they did say it was better than Florida or Alabama or Texas Drunk 2...I'm going home, I always said you couldn't handle your liquor. Mike

Couldn't have said it better. Obviously the criteria they use is limited and flawed. Has been for years. Mike

New Beginning
The first week after retiring I woke up at my normal time, got a cup of coffee, leaned against the kitchen sink and said "ok, now what are you gonna do"? Luckily we had a plan to travel anyway so I had something to look forward too. Still 5 yrs later, I got stuff to do, but I'll put it off to give me something to do! Mike

New Beginning
Atta Boy!! You earned it, now go spend it!! ? When Mrs Mike and I retired we bought a motor home and hit the road. The intent was to fish my way across the country. 5 yrs and 3 motor home upgrades later we're still gone, but now we tend to stay in one place longer than when we started. Wouldn't change a thing!! Find a place you both want to be... Watch the sunrise, take afternoon naps, snuggle a bit, watch the sunset..... Then do it again!! Mike

punching rig?
It's not necessary with or without a skirt. I dont see any advantage to useing one especially if you snell the knot. Mike
