Latest Catch Pics Thread
Got out Sunday and enjoyed the first warmer day after being stuck back in winter the last few days. Caught them on a little bit of everything (except any kind of lipped crankbait for whatever reason), but Ned ruled the day. Jerkbait, lipless, spinnerbait, shakyhead, and a Tokyo rig all caught fish. Caught one pretty decent one on the Tokyo rig with a Spro Pintail worm. Of the 20-25 fish I put in the boat, 75% of them were on a Ned though, including the big one of the day at 4.20lbs.

Dock Debate
We use to ice fish off my buddies dock here in Kansas that was 4-5 feet deep off the end and caught many bass through the ice around his dock. The ice rarely got thick enough to walk on so we'd punch holes around the dock and sit on the dock instead.

Match the Hatch, Baby! New Flying Spider Lure?
No, I physically couldn't.

Seaguar Basix
Kanzen was great, casted a mile.

Any falcon fans out there
I like Falcon. Actually fish the Bucoo SR rods quite a bit and really been impressed with them for the price.

Waiting for a storm to pass…. Spinnerbait heads?
The Booyah Covert is one of the best tracking spinnerbaits I've ever fished even after lots of abuse.

Favorite wacky jig head
I've had good luck with the Berkley Fusion heads.

Spring soft swimbaits
I've done well with the Savage Gear Pulse tail bluegills in the jig hook and weedless versions. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Savage_Gear_Pulse_Tail_RTF_Bluegill_Swimbaits/descpage-SGRTFBG.html https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Savage_Gear_Pulse_Tail_LB_Bluegill_Swimbaits_4/descpage-SGPTLBB.html I've just started using the Top Shelf Tackle line thru swimbaits and have been really impressed with them. The 5" deep runner version was a big producer for me Saturday. Didn't catch any big ones but lots of good keeper sized fish. Match the Hatch, Baby! New Flying Spider Lure?
That spider lure was a hot seller for a minute when it came out. I'm such a sissy about spiders I don't think I could touch it to tie it on.

Jackal Rearrange
I had one of the larger ones and never caught a fish with it. Just ordered one of the 110 sized ones in their new pearl/chart back color because that's a killer smallmouth color here and I'm hoping that will do the same. The Duo Rozante 77sp makes a similar, though not as loud, clack when casted and it does catch you off guard at first.

Close Encounters of the Snake Kind...
Only ever seen 2 cottonmouths in my life, neither was aggressive at all. Very unique looking snakes and cool experiences to see them in the wild. Could maybe carry a walking stick or telescoping lure retriever that could do double duty if needed?

All Around gear ratio 6:1 vs 7:1
I have more 6 ratio reels than faster reels, so I guess I'd vote 6 over 7.

Seaguar Basix
I think it could have potential as leader material as well. Something that doesn't need to last as long as long and could be changed frequently without hurting the wallet as bad.

Running boards?
I like to have them. Keeps me from having to hop up into my truck. My wife and kids both have much easier times getting into my truck.

Russell Wilson Traded To Denver Broncos!
So after this trade the Broncos are now listed at number 5 of the most likely team to win the Super Bowl. Above the Bengals who just played in the it, above the Chargers who are established and a very balanced team, and several other teams that have a proven track record. This seems like a lot of hype to get the money rolling in.

Something seems wrong?
Old Town had a post on one of their social media accounts that said something about a spam site advertising their kayaks at crazy low prices. That's not an Old Town in the picture, but sounds pretty similar.

When you're fishing partner is the exact opposite.
One of the many reasons I often fish alone. It's not very often I have someone in the boat I can't work together with, but I've had a few and it makes the day miserable. I like to fish slow a lot of the time and I've had days when the guy in the back wants to fish fast and keeps casting over me, forcing me to reel in before I want to or we'll get tangled. It's a quick way to never get an invite to go fishing with me again.

Shakey Head for 4.5 worm recommendations?
This is the same style head I use and my hookup ratio is through the roof with these jigheads.

Could you only fish crankbaits year round forever?
I might give up fishing if I could only use crankbaits ?

Jason Christie winning lure?
It's a bobber here and I have some in my boat. I'm not giving up on my "float-n-Ned", idea just yet.
