  1. It was good, I didnt catch why his house was called "skyfall", am I missing something?
  2. 4 in one day is one hell of a beating haha
  3. How do you like that 12 lb? Not worried about break offs? I break off 15 lb tatsu when I'm flipping a jig into light cover. Maybe I need to set my drag loose.. I like the gl2, with JF thumbs up I bought a GL2 893C JWR 7' 5"
  4. Thanks everyone, Glen if you could I would appreciate that. Just curious about the path you picked for routing the wires since you are also using hds units.
  5. Long Line Strolling for smallies using jerkbaits in deep clear water. How do you do it? Ive heard it works great for the smallies when the water turns cold. How much line should I let out? And how fast should I go with the trolling motor?
  6. Rhino when installing the mount did you reinforce with plywood? I had a look under the console and it looks like 1/4 - 3/8" of fiberglass only. I was thinking of putting a piece of 1/2 or 3/4 plywood and drill through and secure with the bolts and large washers. Also how did you run your wire keeping it water tight through the fiberglass. Thanks
  7. Nice clean workmanship
  8. If you go to your local home depot they should have a product containing concrobium, works great at killing mold and it doesnt have as potent as a smell as bleach. I would do a small test area before you go to town on it though.
  9. I recently purchased the new revo sx and am impressed so far, nice looking too for the money
  10. Longer the rod the better for line movement when you set the hook and get that fish out of the cover. Also if your punching thick weeds the longer the rod will help you maintain less of an angle at water entry. The less pitch the easier it is to bring your bait through the weeds. Picture this, 1/2 piece of plywood, now turn it on an angle and penetrate. It becomes thicker than 1/2 therefore causing your bait/catch to exit through more cover than necessary.
  11. Surprise- Smitwick rogue jerkbait- comparing them to jerkbaits worth 2x and 3x the price I was surprised at how well these things caught fish! Disappointment- I have to second what someone mentioned about the sebile magic swimmer... expensive and crap
  12. Thanks Rhino, I think i'll end up doing the same thing you did in your last picture.
  13. that last pictures look exactly like my boat right down to the colour and original unit in the dash! Which one was that, the 111u? I was planning on mounting it on the top of the ledge you mounted it to rather than the side. Looks like it could get in the way when driving, how did you find it?
  14. yea, a few screws falling out is a small price to pay when youre saving all the money you do purchasing a nitro! I have a 2008 z6 and its been great so far
  15. I have an hds 8 on its way, my boat is a nitro z6 with a 5 in dash, Does anyone have any suggestions as to what mount I should put in for the 8 ?
  16. Thats a chilly morning, nothing a few fish cant warm up though!
  17. I just scooped a hds 8 gen 2 for 1300 delivered. Moving my 5 to the trolling motor and 8 going on a ram mount at the console. Been wanting to do this for years but finally found the right deal. Bigger is always better!
  18. If I didnt know any better id say you got put through the ringer
  19. Im glad it went well, prayers sent
  20. caught the one in my pic dragging a 4" keitech on a football
  21. Being a fellow Canadian I get the same response, bass fishing hasnt been the sport nor does it have the following it does in the USA.
  22. yes, this way when your running your trolling motor you know exactly what youre seeing is below you.
  23. From watching a video on *** it seemed that I can expect the powerpole to leak hydraulic fluid time from time as its a normal occurance? No leak to me is normal and its the only thing making me hesitant, Is it a wise idea to seal the compression fitting with a locktite to stop it from leaking?
  24. Anyone have one or the other and have some comments on it? only difference I can see is the black vs anodized silver and the brushless motor. I dont need any other controls other than the wireless one, looks like thats optional on the sportsman
