  1. Nope. I thought I was bringing in a log until it got close to the bank. Water was about 45 degrees.
  2. A cold largemouth.
  3. I bought my first Tatula CT100H back in 2018. I really liked it so when it was time to retire my old Shimano and Abu reels at the end of 2020, I replaced them with the new Tatulas.
  4. Mann's baby one minus crankbait.
  5. Good for t-rigs, and as a trailer.
  6. I like 2 or 3 days of stable weather, without big swings in the temperature.
  7. I've caught a majority of by fish this past season from a boat, but most of my largest fish came from fishing off of the bank.
  8. A lot of it depends on where I am fishing, but I catch catfish, muskie, crappie, and sunfish. I think warmouth led the list this past fishing season.
  9. Glad they got it out. Hoping you have a quick recovery.
  10. We're going to spend a wild night cooking dinner, and then watching tv. Probably the Twilight Zone marathon, if it's on again this year.
  11. I've been using a m/f 6'6" BPS Carbonlite, but it isn't a dedicated rig.
  12. The only time I use a rod that long is when I'm casting baits with treble hooks on them.
  13. Bring everything. Just because the baits are both jerkbaits doesn't mean that their action will be the same.
  14. Congratulations to both of you!
  15. Red and gold flake for me.
  16. I've used everything from a nose hooked tube to a threaded plastic worm. It will depend on if the bass are looking for a large or small profile, moving through the water, or on the bottom.
  17. I always make sure I have things stowed away before moving to a new location, or heading to the ramp. In rough water I don't want things bouncing around in the boat.
  18. Zoom Fat Albert, or a big salty chunk.

If we're just sticking to these categories then for this year: Crankbait: Mann's baby 1 minus Top water: Pop-R Worm: Zoom finesse worm Creature: Zoom super hog Spinnerbait: 1/2 oz. Booyah single blade
  20. I usually carry four rods out on the water also. I used to carry more, but they got in the way, and I never used them. In the spring I will be using jigs, heavy moving baits, light moving baits, and the fourth is a toss up. It will either be a Texas rig, or a spinning reel for light plastics. If I do carry a 5th set up it will either be a punch rig, or a ml/f spinning rig for drop shot.
  21. I'm off until the 4th. My youngest daughter is home from college, and my wife and I are going to spend some time with her until she goes back, When they're out doing mom-daughter stuff I plan on cleaning some reels.
  22. This is the entire haul from 2021.
  23. About 90% of my fishing trips are between sunup and noon. Most of my bigger fish have been caught during that time.
  24. Computers don't bother me. I've been using computers at work for the past 20 years, before that we were using dumb terminals. I'm completely lost on cell phones. I wish I could go back and use my old flip phone to just make calls.
  25. Subway Firehouse Jimmy Johns.
