There are many variables in the question and some good answers already posted. There are a few 100 dollar rods I choose over a "GL2" for instance. Check around tho, places like Dicks Sporting Goods always has stupid prices clearance sales. Red Cumaras, were $80.00 and Crucials were $40...other rods were way below retail also. Can't go wrong in those situations.

They look sweet, the backbone to tip ratio on the description is interesting. Im sure they'll add the other info in shortly. I'd be surprised if they Duckett'd it with no lure ratings.

I like many brands unfortunately, big box and site sponsors. I was able to buy a ton of Berkley Gripper Jigs for $.73 cents each from Dicks Sporting Goods. I dont like losing my good jigs in areas where I know I'll always end up hung up, so Ill use these there so the pain isnt too bad. I've never used them before but the investment was minimal.

When in doubt...get both.

Thanks, it seems the fish were just as big as when I use larger jigs, just more plentiful. The fish in my avatar is a normal days catch in that lake. Ill try it again on my next go round.

I stepped it down to a 1/4 oz bass patrol jig today with a twin tail grub(which I never use). I was killing them, I usually use heavier jigs 1/2-3/4 with craws to feel bottom but the bass were devouring it. I fished it on a 7ft3 med *** and 51e with 30lb braid and a 12lb fluoro leader. I am not sure if today was a fluke but I caught 6 within an hour on it. My largest fish was about 4.5 but most were 3+.

Maybe it was a bad spool? I sent them 3 emails about the problem and they didn't even have the courtesy to return one...I don't even know why I bought Invizx after that lousy customer service, but the line has been good, definitely more limp than red label.

Don't do it unless it's leader material. Red label used to break on the spool. Invizx is night and day once I used it.

Picked up the crucial 6ft10 spinnerbait rod for 42. I'll check on the cumaras tomorrow and anything else in this thread!

I got one for $42 and change today, 7ft spinning worm and jig. I know theres another location that has the casting: spinner bait rod and flipping stick, ill probably get the spinnerbait.

I was going to make a thread on the 723 but this saved me the trouble. Don't have one of these so might get one for the low.

Picked up a supreme mgx on sale for 60 thanks to bassresource members. So far so good. The president and the arbor have been reliable.
