  1. I use straight braid and it really has helped improve my jig fishing
  2. I use either mono or a copolymer line for both. The rod you have should be fine for both.
  3. I prefer XF, but I have heard that for braid you should use a moderate action rod since braid has very little stretch to it and it will help keep from ripping the bait out of the fishes mouth.
  4. 5/16oz for swim jigs and 3/8oz for other jigs.
  5. Haven't missed an episode yet. Its a great show.
  6. For 250 to 300 you have a lot of choices. Lots of great rods in the $100 dollar range and some great reels in the 150 to $200 dollar range The Revo SX does come in 7.1:1 ratio, but I would spend the extra money and get a Revo STX in the 7.1:1 ratio and get a Veritas rod of your choice and probably go with 15lbs Yo-Zuri hybrid line.
  7. Spend more time on the water fishing with my son. Did not get to do that much last year and he is going to be a senior in high school next year.
  8. Thats a great spinning reel for the money. You will enjoy that combo and should have pretty good luck with those Senkos.
  9. I would like to see them become more readily available. Would like to try one out.
  10. I have just not had much luck with any of the RAGE baits. I have tried a lot of them and I plan on trying more of them this year. Hopefully things will improve this year. I really like the action the single tail grub gives off for a swim jig.
  11. T-Rigged weightless or weighted
  12. Was at the local tackle store and found some of my favorite True Tungsten weight stoppers. To bad they don't make these anymore.
  13. Depends on the fish. They will determine how i work the jig.
  14. First welcome to the forums. Secondly, what kind of price range are you looking at? Their are plenty of great products at all different price ranges.
  15. KVD L&L is great fro treating your line. I would spray some on and let is soak in and then reapply before you go out fishing the next time and it should help considerably. You could also spool some of the line off and apply KVD L&L to a rag and hold the line with it and reel it back on the spool and that would probably help the most. If you go this route also spray some on the line on the spool directly about every 20 to 30 turns of the handle.
  16. WOW, At least they were both OK
  17. Would be awesome if he can pull this win out and show everyone why he is one of the all time greats.
  18. I saw that this morning and not sure of all the details but I thought Rojas was out of line making comments like that on tv.
  19. Yes you are correct it allows the handle to go backwards. The original Lews BB1 was this way.
  20. Lets see if he answers, question has been asked.
  21. Tired of snow, we need the moisture that is for sure. But just give us some rain instead of this snow.
