  1. Amber is a great lense and can be used in all conditions like stated. I also have ft he S11 and they've been great to me so far.
  2. He also didn't ask for personal opinions on the color of rods. He asked for suggestions to help him narrow down a field of choices for his needs. You could have not replied, that's just as easy. Show a little compassion for someone who loves the sport but faces a challenge that you or I may have no idea how difficult it is to deal with.
  3. This in Bluegill for me.
  4. Another thought is you can put some high vis duct tape on a few spots of the rod blank if you can't settle on a colored one. Something like a neon yellow or pink might help. Hope you can find what you need Coots. Tight lines.
  5. You will still get bass on them. Good smallie frog I bet too. Just make sure the hooks are nice and sharp.
  6. Leaders are preference only. You don't have to use one, i only use it around rock or heavy timber. But try the Alberto knot. Very strong and will pass through guides nicely if tied correct.
  7. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/119465-i-need-your-help-with-a-color-issue/#entry1306303 He's got a reason for the visibility of the rod. Help the guy out as he's not looking for your personal opinions on color. He's trying to get a selection useful to him.
  8. Just saw this now. I've lived to see my world series champs! How bout you?! All about Blackhawks right now!
  9. Ltb is Blue. Probably not good for your purpose. Stay away from carrot stix. Ducketts going to be your best bet I think for quality and being white in color.
  10. If your image file size exceeds 64mb (which would be insane if it does) it will not upload. Are you trying to upload a ton of pictures at one time? To see the file size, just hover over the image with your mouse and it will say. Do this in the folder or desktop, wherever it is stored on the pc.
  11. I fish frogs in thick and nasty only really and walk them only in the short clearings they cross through. Occasionally I'll throw them along the edge line of freshly cut weeds/pads and walk them there. There are better served lures for open water topwater in my opinion. Rage Shad/Frog or buzzbait for covering water. Spooks and poppers to drive them nuts. Skitter props, tiny torpedos, hulas, etc....etc... So many options that mastering a frog walking seems less important to me.
  12. Koppers Live Target. TW has these on sale right now. Stock up.
  13. Off topic...isn't it pronounced "Zeeka" not Jika (jeeka)? or am I an idiot? Doesn't matter really but I guess if I'd been calling it zeeka people might look at me weird.
  14. http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/2624543 If that's the one.......you may want to hang on to that one. Sweet find!
  15. Do you make your own or do you buy? Preference on manufacturer?
  16. <GASP> CRUCIFY HIM! J/k. Looks like you had a nice day out. Enjoy those gills, it's been a long time since I've had them.
  17. Yeah, they (weed killer) never work without killing off a bunch of fish. I've never seen any large bass or pike floating dead from them but it seems to do a number on the bluegill/panfish. Come to think of it, the times they did treatments it didn't do squat to the weeds either. Last time I was up at my place, spawn was just about done with a good amount in post spawn already. That was 2nd to last week in May. However, my lake is very shallow, weedy and clear so it heats up fast. We had temps break 70's already there.
  18. There are bluegill or a form of panfish in just about every body of water by us Hooah. I have witnessed the same kill on my lake. The bluegill will injest the weed killer pellets and its obvious that's not good. Usually a day or two later we see floaters along the shore. For the record, we don't spread that stuff, the lake association does. The junk doesn't even work so we asked them not to spread it by our pier.
  19. I'd be wiling to bet the kill was from weed treatment. Even the "safe" ones kill smaller fish. Its far too long after ice out to see winter kill.
  20. Nice footballs there! Congrats!
  21. X2 for the most part for me. Black/Brown for low light and white/yellow for daylight hours.
  22. Hooah, you're also fishing in Eurasion Milfoil infested lands and I am all too familiar with it. It's really difficult to keep trebles snag free in milfoil weeds. Try JFrancho suggestions but come thick of summer I just opt for different presentations on very weedy lakes. If you got sand or rock to throw in, then crank away.
  23. I can't imagine that is cheap by any means either.
  24. How did you guys rank this weekend?
  25. Beast yet again. Nice fish!
