Maybe try a good automotive cleaner wax. I've used it on street bike fairings, so it's safe on plastic.

What are your brakes on? I can't compare to a ci4, but distance isn't an issue for my alphas sv. 1/2oz trap with #30 braid and a champ 733. Just glad I tie a good knot. I like that trap

Braid lb test is different than mono due it's thinner diameter. #10 braid is equal to #2 mono when comparing diameter. Stick with #30 and you'll be fine.

It's inexpensive and easy to find at Walmart. I run #15 on spinning and #30 on casting. There are other braids that are quieter but the price goes up. I've used pp for a long time and it's worked great. No complaints from me.

I can't speak on the Fury 704 but I have a Dx 704. Dobyns overrates their rods. Their 4 power is a lot closer to a 3 power. So it'll fish like a typical mh rod. It seems like you're already aware of that though since you're comparing it to another mh rod. I have a medium g2o and it's a nice little rod. I could see myself buying another. I have a fury 705cb but since it's a crankbait rod it's not exactly a great comparison. I do like it though.

No, it's a Banax handle. They're on eBay for $50 plus shipping. The Dress handles are a burnt titanium finish. I assume that's where the titan part comes from. The Banax handle would go nicely on the Aurora. Maybe even an Ito.

I tried to cut it down from 12 to 5 not including the spinning reel. I got close, but it's so hard to let any of these go. I could do without the ss sv. Not too impressed for the money. You were clear. I was just saying that I don't carry extra reel spools. I do carry line though. To me braid/leader is a very effective system. I don't have to worry about fumbling around changing out spools. If I accidentally dropped a spool and it hits on the edge I'd of just ruined a $70-110 spool. I do have extra spools from when I upgrade one to say an SV spool but it just gets put in the box.

I carry a spool of #30 braid incase something crazy would happen and I would need to respool. I also carry a couple spools of copoly and fluoro for leaders. That's all I ever need.

Bass come up shallow in the spring to fatten up for the spawn. They also do the same in the fall to prepare for the winter. After the spawn they back off to deep water to recover. In the summer they go deeper also. Since this pond has a max depth of 11' that's where I'd start. Fish where the water transitions from shallower to deeper is. Bigger bass like to be able to escape easily to deeper water. The docks and pads would be a place to start in the hot months too.

You can't just assume it won't work for your needs because people on the internet say so. Most of which have not even owned the rod you're asking about. At least fish it a few times and decide for yourself. You might really like it, or hate it. You're the only one who can decide that part. A lot of high end Japanese rods like Megabass have a mod/fast action. It's pretty common.

Not all rods act like they're labeled. Unless you own the rod you're just speaking your opinion. The rod is not a medium and it's not a moderate action. Cranking rods are also different from non cranking versions. The rod will work fine for for throwing soft plastic swimbaits with either an open jig hook or ewg hook. It will also work well for anything else you wanna throw. It has plenty of backbone as it's underrated and it's a medium heavy in hand. The action is closer to fast also. I owned that rod and used it for about a month before selling it. I used it as my all purpose bank beater rod. I threw all types of baits on it. Including 4.8 keitechs.

With Dobyns buy 1 power higher. 3 power = medium 4 power = medium heavy

I do what the others have already mentioned. Buy different weights and head shapes in bulk then order a bunch of skirts. It gives me something to do for a couple hours. Some of the Tatula rods are listed with a R for regular action. It's not like most rods rated as moderate. I'm assuming the rod you have is the 701MRB. If so, it's a mh when compared to most other medium rods. I had that rod and it will work fine for what you want. I sold it because I was looking for an actual medium powered rod and was disappointed when it arrived because it' has the backbone of a mh. Lure weight ratings also suggest it to be like a mh. 3/4 is what 90% of mh rods are rated to. You'll be fine with it.

$150 reels are all going to be solid performers. Find one that offers the things you're looking for in a casting reel. I.e. looks,size,drag,weight, line capacity,handle length,ect ect

Their claim was due to a decrease in line angle it resulted in less friction and further casts. The last part is what I don't buy. I currently own all Daiwa reels. Reels I either still have or sold have ranged from 70-600. None of them with a normal line guide cast any worse then the 3 Tatulas I've owned.

I hope they don't ruin the Steez with the tws like they did with the Zillion. They already took something away from it with the new sv model. The Tatula is a very solid reel and probably one of the best buys out there at $100. The whole tws thing is great in theory but it doesn't outcast any of my other reels with a traditional line guide.

My favorite rod for under $200. I owned 5 out of the lineup and the 723 is the one that I won't sell. I'd sell my Orochi xx before the 723.

I throw buzzbaits on any of my mh/f rods. Never had any issue with hookups. I prefer a rod without a parabolic bend because I throw them along the edge of pads a lot. I want to be able to get them out of there if the fish tries to make a run for cover. I have the 705cb that was mentioned above. I wouldn't ever use that for buzzbaits. It's way too soft of a rod for that technique.
