Thank you all....

I cant believe what I just saw!
When they have asked me if I would like help I always look at them and smile and say..."some day maybe"!! In this day and age you just don't have to go far in the day to just look around and just shake your head. It's endless...

Hatin' on smallmouth
Head out west....bass is trash there too in favor of the "Slime Rockets". Love it here in Tennessee...haven't heard much of the #@!$ talk....

Took my son wading for smallies
Looks awesome....used to wade with my son too in his younger years. Remember some creek crossings where we waded up to his neck....was hilarious watching his face....good times. Thanks for memories......

Fishing Partners
Just hit 69 and am more critical who I fish with. I've had some great partners that through life's journey have gone their separate way's due to moving, etc. I now have a great tourney partner...actually two. One is my son for the Tuesday nighters with which is the only one he really has time for due to life and three kids. This time for me is surely blessed. I also have a good friend I fish other tourneys with and life is good when we fish together too. I also have a couple other friends I fish with and enjoy our time...but again life just doesn't let me get out with them much. If I fish with someone new I meet them at the ramp....I don't want to ruin a whole day by someone saying...OH....I need to be home by such and such. (usually after two hours) Now days it's rare for me to want to experiment....nothing wrong with launching by one's self....looking up and thanking the good Lord for another day on the water.

What is a popular opinion you disagree with?
I can only smile at all this....thank you....so little time....so much water. Enjoy..........

Why I make my own baits
Have tied fly's, jigs and been doing the doit thing for over 45 years. Love the personal satisfaction of modification and research and development. The latest being a ned hook with two little fiber weedguards instead of wire.

Motor Looks Terrible
Have heard bass boat saver and Slick mist are good....I'm wondering what to use to wax a painted tin boat....is it the same as fiberglass....I've always used Meguires...but have heard the Slick mist makes a good product?

This is THE day
I will post pics...really....but had to mention this morning before heading to work that I sure lived in the back ages....OMG. Spot lock is AMAZING...gosh....wow. Number two....spending two long days on the lake and the fuel gauge has to be frozen...it barley moved. My other boats fuel gauge acted like a thermometer going into a cold day. Also had my two older grandsons and son in boat yesterday and we moved around pretty good. Didn't bring enough food but that was the only glitch!!

Ned Rig
Like the mold but hard to put a fiber weedguard in.

Ned Rig
I pour my own heads with 1/16 being my favorite. I use two strands of fiber weedguard and it works amazingly well. Friend who is a machinist made the mold so I was very fortunate. But now he moved so I have to drive 50 miles to borrow it and make some more!!

Where the hell do I find smallmouth on Chickamauga?

This is THE day
My world is crazy...will try and get pics...have been told how I'm just ...well....kinda a dummy on this kinda stuff. Hope wife or son will help me today or tomorrow. Besides...only have one dark pick of boat. Had to pour a patio right after I got the boat and then go to work....Saturday I hope to be in boat ALL DAY. Besides J Franco told me how to do it and I pulled it up but.....Froze...I've pressed buttons on computers and weird &%!@# happens.

Congrats....all the best.

This is THE day
First trip was impressive...the little thing gets on pad with absolute ease....quickest boat for me ever. Have to get this two hour break in over with to know things better ... then the six or eight hours...can't remember. But the two hour first. Cannot believe either how much room inside it has....believe it will work. Oh...another thing...the trailer tires have bearings that require no maintenance for 100,000 miles.....crazy. Soon as I got it home my son and I took it out for a Tuesday nighter.....wow....was I rusty. Got the skunk off the boat but all I could catch was multi species and a couple dinks...son had some keepers. Now I need a day to set up spot lock and see what electronics look like and and and. Glad mama lets me work at golf coarse to pay for this baby.

This is THE day
Whew....having my first cup and thinking...wow...I'm driving to Bluff City to get my 1880. There are so so many thoughts. Calm on one side...nervous on the other. My first boat was a little tin one...now I'm getting a bigger tin. People who run Watson's have been amazing...truly amazing but at least for me having reached the golden years they say ya think of things a bit different. Best part of the deal will be when my grand kids get in...next best will be I won't have to empty the wallet to go fishing. Like I said...lots of thoughts... Will try and post pic's when can...may all of you have a blessed day.

Rain is Gone, Now the Heat
It has been warm..but am lucky enough to be able to endure. I work, golf and fish in it. I call it "Postman fishing". Rain, sleet, or heat I will be doing one of the three.

Missing the Line Tug
Have to say this body doesn't run either but it sure walks a lot. Wish you all the best in your recovery....I remember going through pancreatitis and going out to the boat after a long stint of recovery...mold everywhere.....was so so sad. Rods....reels....carpet...you name it.

Summertime
Was thinking while reading this and realized that I had never fished with my grand parents other than my grandma taking a trip one or twice a year to fish off the Columbia River for salmon. Dad...not to much either...was always pretty busy. Me....when I had kids (Boy and Girl) I told my wife I was going to be irresponsible as I wanted to do things with my kids and I did. We got a Volkswagen camper bus and it was game on on weekends.....it was very inexpensive. As we got a little more money we got a john boat and things just kept going. Great great memories. All the best to all of ya.

Fish it well...
My dad and I did one of those trips. We had never really done a father/son trip....so finally we went north to the Queen Charlotte Islands. (he wasn't a warm water fisherman) It was a great trip and shortly after life went the the %$#@! for him. Glad we got in a good one.
