Craigslist, certainly. Another place that I see used fishing kayaks for sale often is in Facebook kayak fishing groups. Not sure where you are located, but I'd bet there's a local or regional FB group of fishermen near you. You'll not only get info on used gear, but learn about local places you can launch, ask questions about conditions, find others to meet up with, etc. I'm no fan of FB, but for fishing communities it can be a decent resource. Just realized that none of us answered your question. I think, that even used...you could spend more than you probably realize. I think that $1000 would be a good target...used kayak, paddle, pfd, roof rack, straps, crate, rod holder(s), etc. Then start saving another grand for the electronics you say don't want right now, anchor trolley, cart, flag, light, stakeout pole, dry bag, phone bag, rod floats, cooler, hand paddle, upgraded seat......there is no end

Senko size/weight or trick worm? I use 7MF Aetos spinning with 18# Gliss for weightless truck/finesse worms. I feel I need the F or XF for hook setting, especially when line is less than taut as it winds it's way through emergent weeds and pads. For weightless senko, I'm more likely to use MF baitcaster with 20 or 40# braid.

My experience is, that it depends on the hull. I have a Perception and a Wilderness that I have abused in storage, transport, handling...I think I could almost drive a truck over them without damaging the hulls. My new Hobie, however comes with a reputation for needing far more care in how it sits for long periods and care in having it ratcheted down for days at a time. That Wildy could store on a cart (scupper or cradle) for months...or strapped down for a week on my car....with zero damage.

Two holes drilled. 1 inch by transducer. 1 inch by my right knee. Would have been easier if front hole was 1 1/4, but I had plug and bit for 1 inch and made it work fine. Battery blocked with foam inside hatch, forward of hatch cover.

Idk....seems like theft, vandalism, fraud are sort of a different conversation than a requested discount. I get where you are coming from, but, honestly, a negotiated sale on stagnant stock is a positive...not a loss.

@crankbait2009, first look, the price does seem high. And it may be, if you never need the light. But I am going on my fifth year with mine and it literally is like new. I use it 40-50 times a year, i think. Never even had to change the batteries yet, and i fish before dawn or after dark most days. Alternatively, I bought a more generic flag and a Railblaza Starport for my wife's yak. Far cheaper, but I need to replace the flag after 3 seasons. For those that might ever use the light, the Visipole is a very much worth the price, IMO

Like many things in life, the anxiety in advance of the event can be far worse than the actual event. Assuming the person administering the polygraph is professional and competent, you have nothing to worry about. Physiological indications will be present in control questions, so the deception indication spikes would be measured like anyone else. You will have an opportunity to explain medical, health or other things, if you choose. Take care of things you can control....don't sweat the rest.

You probably need to handle both... or talk to someone who has those two exact rods. I have 7MHF casting, and 6.5 and 7 MF spinning Aetos. I don't know that they seem particularly heavy. But I probably wouldn't use my MHF for 1/4 jigs. I have several MF rods better suited for light jigs. I don't know for sure for you, or anyone else, but if I was buying an Aetos primarily for jigs under 3/8, I'd look want to handle a MF first, as that's likely a good choice. I will also add that MH Aetos is a fantastic spinnerbait/chatterbait rod.

Will do -- wired and tested last weekend. Two holes drilled -- and wires only out about 14 inches while transporting. Took a bit to get ducer in the mount proper, but once done, it should be there forever....I'll get pics up - probably tomorrow or Fri

I be a hydratin' fool. But I was an intermittent faster before I knew it was a thing. Now that I do know, I'm more particular about timing, but I'll tell you...systematic fasting has been great for me. The fact that it fits well into a fishing day makes for a nice bonus.

I use duct putty to attach inside the hull on a Wildy and a Perception. (Lowrance Hook 4x and Elite 4.) Absolutlely recommend going that route if it makes sense for your layout. If I used SI, then it'd be a different conversation. But, regular down scan is outstanding throught the hull. Putty has held perfectly for years of hauling, floating, cartopping, outside storage, etc. Wiring is simplified with just one hole -- battery inside hulls, blocked by foam gooped to inside. The arm would be in my way...guaranteed...Playing fish, getting at paddle, drifting/trolling lines....I'd make a mess of it, no doubt. Fortunately, as @J Francho mentions - the Hobie Compass solves my Lowrance transducer problems today.

If I was forced to go back to original Stren after more than a decade since I left it...I might consider new hobbies.

I suppose it may depend on how you are presenting them. I use a H Mat Daddy for punching, but a Dobyns DX 744 C for dragging and dropping down ledges. Very different rods.

I used Plueger 30s in the past and like them. But I got two President XTs last year in 25 size and love them. Not too small for seven foot M rods at all. Unless the Supreme XT is significantly smaller than President XT, I suggest 25. I avoided spinning reels under around 30 size for many years and am sorry I did.

Do you want mag brakes or centrifugal?

This is a good selling point. I am reluctant to skip open hooks under docks because of ropes and other hazards. I fish these a lot more confidently around snaggy environments.
