I maintain one 3700 marked 'primary". I update the contents the night before. I generally keep a couple jigs, a variety of terminal, one or two each traps, bladed jigs, squarebills, jerk baits, etc. I adjust contents frequently between trips, based on season, type of water I'm headed to, etc.

+1 I do it the same way. When threading the guides from the reel, I set drag pretty loose and maintain some tension at all times

Not by much....and gently used pedal yaks are well within reach. Passport and Catch aren't a lot more than that new. I am not making light of having a budget...I applaud it. But, for me, the switch from paddle to pedal was maybe not priceless.....but certainly game changing. I think it would be OK to keep considering your requirements, your budget and whether used yak is acceptable.

The casinos in WV and PA that we go to have separate wings with separate ventilation for smokers. Folks who don't like the smoke don't have to go in those areas.

Wife and I used to get to Charles Town once or twice a year, though it has been a couple now. Maryland casinos (and I'm sure new VA casinos) don't have any smoking sections. The draw for me is to be able to smoke a cigar and kill a couple hours at a blackjack table or at the track while my wife plays slots.

There is something incredibly satisfying about sitting dead still in the middle of a pad field just waiting for that movement....and getting bit on the next perfect cast. More like hunting than fishing. Of course, up here it is often snakehead, bowfin or carp that suck up a bunch of my time and attention

Purely by feel. But I will say that I set it tighter now than I did years ago. For me slipping on hooksets and not getting them turned in the right direction are much bigger risks than breaking off. I'd bet a majority of my bites are in wood, pads and docks and too loose means trouble. I do have it a lot lighter for open water trebles and drop shot.

Nirvana may have defined grunge for 95% of the population, but I have never been able to get through an album in one sitting. I was a big Pearl Jam and Soundgarden fan, but for no very good reasons, I now define both by their lead vocals more than anything. I can listen to anything Cornell all day, every day....but the older I get, the more Eddie grates. Not really fair...but...my opinion. I spent a lot of time REALLY listening to Pear Jam....but have a hard time anymore. I grew to prefer a lot of stuff that took much from grunge, but was usually considered outside of the genre proper. Foo Fighters, SP, Mudhoney...even the much maligned Candlebox and Bush. I like Alice in Chains well enough, but never loved them beyond Stayley and Cantrell...I never thought of them so much as a band as simply two great talents and other guys.

My absolute favorite has no bass, unfortunately...it's in NW Ontario. Fly-in: walleye and northern lake.

I used to like seeing my favorite lakes on lists. Now I won't consider voting for a body of water I plan to fish. Sad and selfish? Perhaps...but...

2-3 weeks ago I took the yak out with sustained 15-17mph and gusts to 40....it was miserable....gusts today near 50. So...cleaning dryer vents and prepping gardens.....tomorrow, I fish

Yes. I fish both. Maybe about equally. (From a kayak.) Completely different challenges. I tend to get better numbers out of ORP. I generally get more big fish (20 inches) from the Rez. ORP will give you better access to docks, pads, grass...but you are at the mercy of the tide and current. The Rez has more better laydowns, bluffs, big points and deep wood, but it can take years to learn. Fountain has boats to rent, so that's a big factor for some.
