  1. I keep a ton of stuff at the house in the shop. I've got a large size flambeau blind bag. Cheaper than a tackle bag and the last thing I needed was more boxes. I've got 3 Plano 5-20 boxes one for top water one for crankbaits the other for hooks/terminal tackle. I've got two smaller boxes one holds my flipping hooks and tungsten. The other has my jigs. I keep 2-3 bags of each of the plastics that I'm using at that time of the year. One side pocket holds an extra reel the other side has 3 spools of line. Pliers and towel hanging off the bag. I try to tailor that bag to how I'm fishing each time I go. Learned a long time ago there's no reason to haul all that extra junk around. I've got a ton of rods and reels but I only take 4 maybe 5 now instead of cluttering up the boat
  2. I guess I'm confident in everything but a suspending jerkbait and a dropshot. I hate throwing anything finesse,Like a shakey head,Texas rig, weightless senko/trick worm even a spinnerbait. Everyone on the lake is throwing a shakey head or a spinnerbait it seems like. That's why I stick with a swim jig or swim bait 99% of the time if the cover and water clarity allow it.
  3. 30 bull shads?
  4. Had that happen once fun fishing. We were keeping a few anyway. Had a fluke a fish spit up clog up the drain and the live well was holding old water.
  5. My favorite square bill
  6. The politically correct term is Geriatric American
  7. Ever heard of magic mike? You know that movies based on a true story...
  8. Yeah I'm a dumb ass. Still wouldn't want another mount on the wall
  9. It could weigh 15lbs and I wouldn't get another one mounted. Ive caught several bass than anyone would mount but couldn't justify killing them. I had two huge hybrid stripe I had mounted 7 years ago. They've been hanging in a local sporting goods store for the last 5 just got tired of looking at them gather dust. Same thing with deer heads just dust collectors/hat racks. I'd much rather turn a big fish loose.
  10. I was dancing at this club and she was my manager
  11. once a month could work. What do the Florida guys use for ground rules?
  12. I never had any trouble out of them other than the wire eventually breaking but that's just a given on most any spinnerbait if you catch enough fish on one. I don't throw a spinnerbait much anymore but when I do it's a war eagle. I really like there get 5 spinner bait and they make a good buzzbait
  13. I think mine are reddish pink. So if I swap them for the white ones why are the benefits?
  14. White ultravibe speed craw or small swimbait
  15. Me too. Doubt I win but it'll be fun trying. I was think maybe we could do it on a weekly basis but bi-weekly could be better. Then you could do a point system for winning and we all throw in a few dollars to get a plaque made at the end of the season for highest cumulative point's
  16. Swim jig, rattle trap, or 1/2 ounce squarebill. A buzzbait will hurt your feelings if the wind catches it and your reel blows up in a big backlash
  17. I've seen problems with two of the carbonlites. But only with the microguide models. Both were using braid so that could have been the cause of it. My buddy had a couple of the guides come loose when bowed up on a big fish. Another guy had one of the inserts come out maybe the third or fourth eye down. Frayed the crap out of his line. This was about two years ago so these problems may have been addressed. I myself have looked at several microguide rods and they just aren't for me. I miss eyes rigging up rods with normal eyes on them lol
  18. Every shimano baitcaster I've ever bought has an extra set of brakes in the box. Is this because if dropped or easily lost? I know the curados I bought the other day had the red brakes installed but there's a spare pack of white ones? Have I been missing out on something all these years and these create less resistance? I usually have only 1 of the brakes pulled up and 0 up on a couple so even if it did I guess it wouldn't make a difference.
  19. Siesmic frog on the back and it will fall extremly slow
  20. Braid is a must along with a medium heavy fast action rod. I prefer 1/4 ounce chartreuse and white swim jig
  21. They are still largemouth. Somehow they cross breed northern and Florida largemouth to get a faster growing more aggressive fish somehow
  22. I just made the switch to Powell and I'm enjoying the rods
  23. Any interest in doing the five fish a month/week length tournament?
