  1. I know alot use braid and i just have not had the need. Swim jigs are my 100% confidence baits so i always have one on and its in my hand about half the day. I have fished FC from 12 to 20lb and find the 14 is my number. I have 0 problems with hooks ups or break offs. In fact in the last 2 seasons I have not lost a single fish on a swim jig. Biggest was 6.6 in April. I feel like the FC gives me an edge as well. Like a ninja. Check your line and knot often and you will be fine.
  2. How the E6 for balance once the reel is on? The ones i held in the store feel heavy and not very Excalibur like.
  3. I am currently looking at the Supreme. Likes? Any dislikes?
  4. 7-1 MH Om#n with 14lb FC. Late last season DVT did a rebuild for me on a st criox LTB sweeper spinnerbait blank and it is set up for swim jigs. Just the right amount of tip to let em get the bait and plenty backbone to bury it. He took a crap build on a nice blank and made it a swim jiggin mofo.
  5. I thought it was this year on the potomac. Could be wrong. I think his name was Brian Leclair? I had never seen him before. He lives about 35 min away from me on MDs eastern shore. I am assuming he fished the Delaware federation prior to his pro career. My father and I fish all rivers on that side, and are doing so again this upcoming season. We will fish the 5 DE open touneys as well. Cant wait
  6. That all sounds about right to me bud.
  7. I was watching an FLW i think and a guy from MD Leclair was fishing the last day with a chance to win and several of his combos were berk lightning or shock or what ever they are called now. IMHO it was junk, but he was fishing the final day and boating bass to try and win. I think those rods are like 50 bucks.
  8. I made my own version and it's a 0 to this point. Swim jig is my goto and i pound em on it so for it to be a 0 is a real bad sign.
  9. If you write right handed and throw right handed you train from early age to use your right hand for skill activity. You would not write your name left handed and you wouldnt try and throw something accurately with your left. The majority of people are not ambidextrous. So it amazes me that the LH reel users are not tipping the scales. I got lucky when I was 13 that my dad had a LH ambassador in the basement. If that had been a RH reel i would have had no option and learned on that. Like most others.
  10. I have a 7-1 M Om×n and lews ss and its awesome for 1.5s. Super light, perfectly balanced all day set up. It does not handle the 2.5 well though. I need that next step up.....the search continues.
  11. I have 580 blue lenses in corbina frames and cannot live without them. In a few days i will be getting a fresh pair. Love love love my costas.
  12. Rage craw. They thump it.

  14. Dirty jigs swim jig n rage craw trailer. I can fish this bait 100 different ways and throw it into anything with 100% confidence. They smack it hard and I have not lost a fish in 2 seasons on it.
  15. Next season is all about electronics for me.
  16. Let the search begin! Lol
