Don't wait too long. You are probably not the only one who fishes that dock and knows a big one is there. I have caught bass hours after breaking off a bait on them. I've caught them with the bait still in there lips. So I'd be back ASAP. Like yesterday, maybe the day before yesterday. But thats cause I don't catch a lot of big fish. Highly acidic water can kill fish by turning ammonium in the water to ammonia. If the PH level is over 7.5 white vinegar can be add to the water to lower the level. I don't know how big the lake is or if its a private lake or public. Again if its a public lake contact your state agency for fisheries. If its private or its unknown who owns it you could take it on your self to improve the fishery. I don't recommend doing anything illegal.

Not to mention when the other sides defense is the starters. Everybody puts to much importance on pre-season. These games are just for the coaching staff and the players on the bubble. Its about evaluating talent and weeding out the dead wood. Many team have made the playoffs that went *** in the pre-season.

I did a google search and was amazed. I thought black bass were nowhere in Italy but found the opposite. Here's just a bit of what I found. "The species was historically found in the lakes of Montorfano , Alserio , Segrino , Pusiano , Medium and Ceresio . In Lake Como , the species appeared only recently and catches are quite casual ." Makes me want to go to Italy now that I know they have bass. Btw they also have walleye and perch. Didn't know that either.

Sounds like expert advice if I ever heard it. Should I use braided line for those owls or mono?

There are a lot of reasons a lake would have few fish in it. My first guess would be pollution or possibly somebody intentionally poisoning fish by using chemicals. Without more info on the lake its really hard to tell you what is going on. Does the lake have weeds? Is it abnormally shallow? Is the lake managed by your state? I would start by contacting your state agency responsible for managing fisheries and find out if they know about the problem.

In my youth I considered myself a handman type. I helped build houses and would work all day and drink most of the night. Through heat, rain and even snow I would be building a deck or putting up siding. Last weekend a friend asked if I would help him build a 12ft x 12ft playhouse for his granddaughters. I said sure, I'll be there at 8 am after working till 11pm the night before. I didn't wake up till 9. Well after 3 hours of framing out the base and laying out the flooring I was beat. Most of the rest of the day was spent telling him and his son what to do while I sat in the shade sipping lemonade. I did get on a ladder to help put up a drip edge but got a cramp in my calf muscle and almost fell off.

I have caught muskie at the same place on the river I fish. Not sure if they were the same muskie.

Texas rigged soft plastics dragged slowly or hopped on the bottom. But its not just about the technique, its also about the area you fish it. Bass love weeds. Its an easy place to feed and be safe. It also give them cooler water in the summer. Many baits thrown in or on the edge of weeds will get hits. If you don't have weeds look for drop-offs. Places where the water depth drops suddenly. Not necessarily a huge depth change, it may only be a couple of feet. Thats all it takes. Bass will sit in the deep area and move up when bait presents it self. Good luck.

How I started was to not worry about catching fish and just think about the techniques. Once that you have that down the catching will happen. This forum is the best place for learning a lot of techniques. Browse the forum and try new things.
