Bank fishing pack set up
So I’ve got it down pretty decent now. And I saw a recent post on small packs. I’ve set this up and can basically do whatever I need to at ponds and lakes here in the Midwest with confidence. This small hip pack Is $20. I have some more room to play with if I want with the water bottle holders. And 2 small zipper pouches on the belt. The gamakatsu 3200 box holds a lot just does not have dividers. But it’s not hard to get lures out of. And I keep an old worm pack for my jigs and swim jigs. That kept in the blue box keeps it from rattling. The small gamakatsu folding terminal tackle box holds a ton. Those were about $10 a piece. So for around $40 it’s a nice set up to carry a lot of tackle on the bank. And it comes in at a whopping 2.5 pounds.

Favorite Buzzbait
I threw one last night actually. I got a striking kvd 3/8 with a good blade. Ran nice and true out of the package. I was happy with it. Got a couple small strikes from some dinks. I took the skirt off and put a rage menace on it. I may put the skirt back on

Zoom ultravibe worm
That’s one that’s actually on my list to try!!! I love trick worms. But they just don’t have the mass to them I’d like. So the magnum seems perfect to light Texas rig

do you dress like a fisherperson?
I lm generally in jeans or shorts and a t shirt. Work pants when I fish before work. A hoody sweater in the fall. Can’t fish here in winter. So I’d say probably not honestly. I have a ton of branded shirts. And pants from kayak fishing and living in Florida. Now that I’m in Iowa I just wear a long sleeve shirt and sun hat when the suns bad

Observation at a local pond about the presence of people
So I stopped at a local pond I fish a lot after work. Never fished there in the evening. Only early morning. It’s on the edge of a neighborhood and then a giant corn field before the main road. Kids and adults fishing people in the back yards that borders the pond. People on the walking trails around it. I’ve never had such bad fishing at this pond lol. A couple small dinks. And that’s it. A couple lil dinks followed a buzzbait up and hit it. I generally do very well at this pond. On all kinds of soft plastics, swim jigs, and even frogs. I fully believe the fish are conditioned to times of the day and the presence of people and busyness going on around them. beautiful evening. Lil wind (more than I like) nice sunset. So it was a nice evening. But the bite just sucked lol.

I am so done with the Bait Monkey.
I agree. It’s funny I was actually sitting in the basement last night. Man I have a lot of stuff. I made a give away pile and organized what I need. Honestly probably can fish this whole season and not need to stock up on anything except the soft plastics I burn through. But even some of those I buy in bulk lol

Small Tackle Bag?
How do you like the Fanny pack? I’m considering one. As I could probably get by with that lil amount of stuff no problem

Nice!! What did you get done to your elbow? I have horrible tennis and golf elbow in my left elbow. Caused by work. It’s my reeling hand for a baitcaster but man there is days it’s still awful to fish lol

Product review: Siebert Outdoors Cosmic Double Willow Spinnerbait
I have no input on the siebert spinner blade. Only used his sniper jigs (amazing!) but I will say I’ve fished trailers this year for the first time. I’ve used zoom fat Albert grubs, flukes, paddle tails. It looks amazing. It helps with keeping the bait a tad higher in the water column. but in years past ( I know it was a different state) I’ve had a ton more success with no trailer. I really think I’m gonna go back to no trailer on my spinner baits.

Small Tackle Bag?
I use a cheap bass pro sling pack out of the camping section. It will fit up to two 3600 boxes. I use smaller boxes tho like the 3500 or smaller. And a gallon ziplock bags for plastics.

Zoom ultravibe worm
Man oh man. I ordered a pack of these in green pumpkin and black/blue. I rigged up a green pumpkin with a 2/0 ewg hook and a 1/8 bullet weight. And a bobber stopper. Casted around and swam it. No hits. I moved the bobber stopper up about 12 inches maybe a tad more and started hopping it off the bottom. Non stop action caught some great fish in an hour and half trip before work. These are a killer secret weapon. I don’t know how I haven’t fished them in the last 10+ years. And I’ve always pegged the weight down. Never again.

What's the max depth you'll fish normally?
I’d probably say the deepest I’ve ever really tried to fish for bass is 12 feet or so. But I’d say I’m comfortable in 8 feet or less with cover and such. At that point I know how to catch them. Honestly if I tried to fish as deep as some of yall do I wouldn’t know how to catch them

Got out there this morning. I have a chain of 4 good sized ponds about 3 minutes from my house. And they are finally starting to grass and algae in. So I have some cover and such to try and fish like im used to. Caffeine shad in baby bass had been killing it there. Generally pound to pound and a half fish. the vegetation is getting thick enough I’m deciding to go back to full braid though. I just don’t trust flouro as thick as it’s getting. Big thanks for @Pat Brown for the tutelage and help! His advice yielded my first frog catch that as more than 15 feet from the bank. He swung at it and when I hooked up to him out past the cover at the edge it was such a. Good feeling!!!! Today yielded success in the fact that I was able to pick spots that had filamentous algae and then grass and pick that cover apart where the two met. Or dead brown grass and new growth. Every time I worked a spot that had them touching I generally found fish in the dislike vegetation!!! Have some speed worms from zoom to try out tomm morning before work!!!!

Lake Fork
I was personally glad to see Feider and Hackney where they ended up. Old school and crushing it. And Feider got a century belt.
