Sam Adams Octoberfest
Octoberfest is very good, so is the winter ale. One beer I was very dissappointed in was the Leine's Summer Shanty...I spat out the first drink and got another draft for free.

Polarized Sunglasses
How stuff works The best polarized sunglasses I've ever used. Dan Dan, thanks for introducing me to the glassmonkey! Although I had 5 pairs of Pepper's glasses in the past 2 years and they all fell apart, except for one pair that lost their finish. So much for good products that have good lifetime warranties.

Keeping fish for eating.
That was a very informative post that I follow to the T. I also agree that under harvest can be a disaster especially if the bass is the main predator in a body of water.

Keeping fish for eating.
I love eating fish, bluegills, crappies, walleye, and perch. However fishing mostly small farm ponds selective harvest is a must and I end up keeping a handful of small bass out of most of them every year to keep the population somewhat in check. Lots of times, such as last night, I clean the bass and give the filets to the farmers to earn some brownie points.

Some people just dont think about what they say
I wonder what caliber rifle that person prefers for hunting Sasquatch! ;D

Line kept breaking
Take the combo back and get a new one, and then replace the line, if you want a mono/copolymer/fluoro I would go with Yozuri #6. If braid I would say Power Pro 20 lb test/6 lb diameter. Either way put new line on it and quit losing lures.

California Delta Tournament ( PICS ADDED)
That is kick bass 4bizzle, good to hear about a young guy winning a tourney and showing that consistency pays off. My hat is off to you and your partner Although I would love on of those DD fish, especially in Iowa.

7" vs. 10" Worms
Go big or go home is what my old man told me. AS far as hook I use a 5/0 Gammy but would like to upsize if there was a quality hook available.

Help w/ decision please....
ABU SC and the rest on tackle. The SC is almost identical to the SX, although I ahve never fished the STX or Premier.

Thumb instead of drag?
I tend to do this with fish hooked close to the boat because my drag is buttoned down pretty well on the Revos and when they are hooked that close and want to go somewhere, I would rather play them out than try to horse them to the boat before they are ready.

Colts vs Saints
I am sorry not only is he the best QB/game manager in the league but the guy is a GREAT ROLE MODEL! If the NFL/NBA/MBL was full of these type of guys kids would have much better role models.

Attention! Gammy & Owner Fans
Just ordered some along with a few other goodies!

Revo SX vs New Curado
I have 3 revos, the S, SC, and SX. Fished with the curado, never laid hands on a Viento. IF it was me to do it all over I would of gotten 2 SC's at the Cabela's price now and not gotten a SX. FOr the price I have not seen a reel that is nicer and you could have a backup or extra reel. JMO though.

Bass Rods - The basic 4
I would replace one of the crankbait rods with a 6'6MF rod for senkos, flukes, and other weightless plastics. Good thread though.

Bears - Chargers
Da Bears and Hurricane Ditka...on a more serious note I think Grossman will be much more stable than last year. He was either hero or zero and did not manage many games well. Lovey can turn him around and make him a decent QB who can let the ground game and defense win the games. 24-17 Bears.

Avids on sale at BPS.
Muddy do you know what sites have them cheaper?

Big Worms
I fish mostly ponds, but when I slow down I start with a 10" Brushy Creek worm in a darok or natural color. If the bite is 'that' slow then I downsize to a smaller worm, and possibly a shakey head.

I'm in TROUBLE!!!!!
I can understand your pain, after fishing a 1/2 oz spinnerbait with a crappy rod for about 4 days my wrist is killing me. I think that rod is gonna hit the loner bin and use my better equipment from here on out, and none of it is close to a steez or stella.

Revo fans with short pockets
Why would you need more than 12/140? I think the new ones are even more line capacity. I have never fished more than 40 yards at most of line out or had a largemouth run that far, with that big of a drag.

Revo fans with short pockets
So when are they going to be in stores???? Abu does not give a definitive and the article says they ship in September.

Labor Day Hawgs(pics)
I was raised a Boston fan as that is where my great grandparents were from, passed down the generations. Then I had a cousin play for the Cards growing up. That and living in west central Illinois St. Louis is fairly close. At least they are not in the same division but the team on my head was who I was rooting for 2 years ago...although I was happy at last years World Series outcome too.

Labor Day Hawgs(pics)
Oh I left out the part about the BIG MAMA that hit right at the boat, last cast, in the middle of nowhere...that I could not set the hook on because I had about 2 feet of line and she scared the hell out of me :'( But I can't complain.

Labor Day Hawgs(pics)
Got out with my buddy Tyler to one of my best ponds yesterday in his little 2 man boat. IT was nice to see all the contours of the pond and found some structure I was unaware of. Well about 6 casts in I hit a nice fish. She came out to be 5-7 and had a skinny, inverted type belly. So we continue to fish and see fish blowing up around this weed patch, which has some branches or tree down on the bottom so we started throwing our baits through there and picking up some smaller fish until a 3.5 lber comes up and hammers a 7 inch senko knockoff as I bring it over some weeds. Well when it was all said and done we had 7 quality fish for over 34 lbs along with about 30 or so dinks. It was one of those days that you hope for, and I am still grinning ear to ear. Here are the rest of our fish. 6-0 on a 7 inch senko 5-6 on a 10 inch worm 4-13 on a ten inch worm 3-10 on a buzzbait. And the last fish of the night, must be a bad spot on the SD card a 5-5 on a buzzbait. Corey

St Croix Avid...
Anyone know anywhere online to get these sort of deals? I do not have a Dicks or anything close and would like a few of these rods. Thanks. Corey
