Back pain woes
give the physical therapy and core strengthening a serious chance. it has really helped me. once you go under the knife, there is no reversal. a good spine specialist will recommend an MRI prior to any treatment. good luck brother.

CHANGING BATTERY 2015 SILVERADO/YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING
we once owned a Chrysler Sebring. you had to turn the wheel hard to the right, remove a panel from inside the wheel well, just to get to the battery. my dad once owned a Buick Lucerne. you had to pull out the back seat in order to get to the battery.

i took the little johnny out around 11 this morning. post cold front conditions but warming into the mid 50’s, felt good. swt around 63 and relatively good water clarity. i only caught 6 today. this 20” largemouth hit a Zoom U Tail, in green pumpkin magic, right off the bank in about two feet of water.

Leading a Bass
i fish t rigs about 90% of the time and i’ve never intentionally led a bass out of cover before setting the hook. but i have found that many (but not all) will move off on their own after taking my t rig. maybe it’s because other fish are present? i don’t know for sure the reason why, but it does happen.

A bird stole my swimbait!
a water snake got after my tiny torpedo (hold your laughter) one time. the faster i reeled, the faster he swam after it, til i dropped my rod and ran up the bank. the end. ?

Bumping baits in cover
sometimes i like to really rip a worm up off the bottom when i‘m working down a deeper slope, or dock poles for example. i always have to remind myself to give a slight lift before ripping it up just in case a fish has taken it in. it’s easy to get lazy when the bite is slow and rip the worm away from a fish that has finally taken it.

Texas rig
i always start out with the head of the plastic over the eye and knot, but it usually works it’s way down. it doesn’t seem to affect the bite though. i like those “old warriors” that last several fish. that 3 legged lizard that looks like it’s gone through a wood chipper or that worm that you’ve had to bite the head off of several times and they’re still killing it.
