  1. May I ask the handle length?
  2. I have three Diawa casting reels that have “mini” handles. That’s 80 mm for me. Two are JDM and the third a Zillion HD with the mongo handle swapped for a Tatula handle. I just hate short handles. It feels like turning the handle on those old wall mount pencil sharpeners we had in school many years ago. I wanted to get longer handles. Big Bass turned me on to a company who had a quality carbon fiber handle option at a very affordable price. So three handles later I upgraded the JDM models to 90 and the Zillion to a 100 . It’s much more relaxing. My buddy thought I wasted my money and was anal and would have fished the reels as is. I’m I over the top? It’s only 10 mm but I like the additional length.
  3. Well the Lews for larger rings/hooks has worked really well but are too bit large for small stuff. My old set flexes sooooooo i ordered a set of Xurans.
  4. Robo Worm Fat Neon bluegill Yamamoto Hula Grub 176 Tube in green ugly I can fish these at any depth; drop shot, hop or drag. Megabass Vision 110 Yellow Perch Normans Deep Little N in Columbia Craw Dobyns Beast spinnerbait in chartreuse/lt glimmer-double silver willows Reaction baits that cover aggressive fish looking up or down to twelve feet deep.
  5. I have this reel and they are tanks! It’s probably one of the finest reel platforms ever.
  6. Wake boarders. I’ve learned to live with kayakers. The scuffs buff right out.
  7. I can’t quite make out the color selection of your tubes Glenn. Maybe a photo of how the lid looks when it’s open to feature the bullet proof hinge design? Yea, that’s it..show the hinges.????
  8. As much as I used to fish Lamiglas and loved the old Excel, XMG50 and Certified Pro series, the company lost interest in bass rods when Skeet Reese left. The designer was in the middle of developing a promising series at that time. He’s a great guy who is now with Okuma US. Enough rambling. The XP series have old technology blanks and are not balanced. The actions are not progressive and take their actions from steelhead models. Strangely. The model in the XP casting is the 703. You would be better served with other options out their. Just being honest.
  9. If you read the facts you’ll find cringing is not allowed on this forum. Years ago it was common to have to add a shim to fill gaps in an aluminum reel set to get the nut to lock tight.
  10. Seaguar Invizex Seaguar Red Label but in the heavier tests which I change out often. I wouldn’t hang a bird feeder with Vanish.
  11. Bone and Bluegill. Done.
  12. I’m pretty sure the right angle lip design goes back to the Creek Chub Minnow era. Regardless, it’s a different action for sure.
  13. I agree with a crisp or quick reacting tip but still moderate enough to address the bait having smaller, generally finer wire hooks.
  14. Wrench in the gears time. The Dobyns Kaden series will/should be on shore in two weeks. The 765 Flip in that series will be a winner and not break the bank.
  15. It’s a copy of the 6th Sense Swank 77 which has been out for at least a couple years. It’s like a deeper running wake bait. The 77 works around pads pretty well on heavy line or shallow rocks.
  16. Interesting perspectives here. Maybe I’ll start my own social media site, TwoFacedBook. I do like that term wackadoo. Sounds like a Flippin bait.
  17. Wally World has that SK jig deal for 2.46 which is a great deal. The swim jugs come with a pair of Menaces as the trailer. Good gifts. Swim jugs???? Try jugs
  18. You guys looking for Jack Hammers in the store aren’t looking in the right area. They keep them behind the service counter with the cans of powdered infant formula and cigarettes,
  19. I can only say one final thing. If you put that setup on the flea market, Give me first shot!
  20. It’s obviously the best balanced lure retriever ever.
  21. I would like to know what Diawa did in the Elite’s design beyond the aluminum side plate. There is something about the deep spool and possibly the inductor that’s different but whatever it is, it works. Some models can achieve some impressive distance but I feel like I’m right on the edge over the spool over rotating. The Elite always feels like the progression of the braking is right on point without shorting casting distance.
  22. I prefer my rods and reels begin with the letter”D” and the rest is a secret.
