  1. Sweatin' to the oldies. Treadmill 30 minutes, Elliptical machine 20 minutes, Stationary Bike 20 minutes. Two hundred crunches and 60 leg lifts. Lifting starts January 2nd.
  2. These. Very inexpensive on line. I bought five and gave my buds one as a gift. They love them. I love mine.
  3. KVD Shallow has been berry berry good to me.
  4. Well A-Jay, I watched the whole feature length film. I picked up on a few things. You have an emotional attachment to your GTO. You are either very picky about protecting the slime coat on the fish you lay in the boat or, you prefer to keep your carpet pristine. You are very adept at fishing in huge crowds. I for one could not fathom having to deal with all that boat traffic and angling pressure. I also picked up on a hint of an east coast accent which was odd because I watched the video on mute. As soon as I have my highlight video done i'll get it posted, all nineteen seconds of it. Honestly, it was very cool to see you jumping up and down. The passion and joy is more than evident. Way to go stick!!! It was fun to watch.
  5. Oh, how I can relate to all of you. I practice casting several times a week. I find it very relaxing, almost therapeutic.. It's nothing new to the neighbors, i've been doing it for years. Catt is spot on about casting what you fish. I have old beat up lures with cut hooks. The wind resistance effects each lure. I want to get used to that. One year we had some heavy rain and the drains backed up. The street flood from sidewalk to sidewalk. It was a great time to stand in the yard and practice with a frog, spook and buzzbait. A photographer from the paper took my photo. Longview resident Doug **** fishing for salmon from his porch. How stupid. Everyone knows salmon don't come up the Taylor Avenue river.
  6. Wise is the man who puts his health before fashion. Am I the only one or have any of you had the setting sun sunburn on the back of your head from a cap with an adjustable strap ? It never fails. Right after a hair cut in the first sunny days of spring.
  7. John. I fished with my friend John for 30 years. We fished a lot together. His wife died from ALS several years ago just when she was suppose to retire. John kind of drifted away I guess. I tried to stay in touch. I haven't seen him in a year and have not shared a boat with him in over four years. I would like to fish with John.
  8. Andy, I have walked in your shoes. The moment I saw this picture my heart sank. So did my wife's. She remembers well. We are praying for you and **** and please let her know we are thinking of her. Doug and DeAnn

  10. I had an 18 year career in retail before I became a cop. When a new business came to my city I would make a point of contacting the owner/manager and ask them, " What do you think my major priority is regarding your business ? " The answers were pretty much the same, keep us safe and so on. Then came the surprise. " To see you are profitable and successful." The more profitable they were, the more taxes they paid and the more support they provided to the community. I'm fortunate to have a family owned sporting goods business that started in 1947. The folks that work there know me on a first name basis. I share with the managers who buy inventory what I want and what my friends want. I want to patronize them. They are my friends. It's tough for them when they can't place a direct order and have to buy from a wholesaler and still maintain a reasonable profit margin. I buy everything and anything I can from them. They special order for me, even in ones and twos and give me a discount because it's a guaranteed sale with no shelf time. I try to teach the newer sales people to help them know product. Some things are more about relationship rather than dollars and cents. There are things I buy outside because they can't get it. They understand. Now i'm rambling. Sorry.
  11. Dobyns DX702 HP worked fantastic for me this last season.

  16. I have two young guys who haven't been bass fishing very long. I love them them like they were my own boys. My goal is to give to them what ever I can to help them love this sport as much as I and you all do.
  17. My wife and I attended my youngest daughter's college graduation today in Portland Oregon. She now has her Masters Degree in Early Education Curriculum Development. It was heart warming to see her receive a diploma, the end of so much hard work. I was and am one proud parent.
  18. Tackle warehouse has a very good discount on the Dobyns Sierra series right now. They are actually less or same that Furys at 109.99-119.99. That is an outstanding deal. Definitely worth a look.

  20. I've owned a few GL2's. The Sierra will be lighter and better balanced. The current TW deal on the Sierra is a no brainer in my mind.
