  1. I can't answer your question but I will wish you good luck on making your decision. A lot goes in to deciding on what college to go to. Have you read what the Princeton Review has to say? I think I have an old copy of their reviews of all the colleges laying around. They have information on academic, general stuff, and some basic campus/social stuff. I could scan and post the page about JHU if you would like.
  2. why? chances are that it would have the same type of low-mid range blanks and components that the Mojo has... so what it would make it so that your average middle man or person who cant afford much with this economy atleast be able to hold onto and fish with a top brand and be able to say they own one (might not mean anything to you or be crap/garbage to you) but to that guy it would be gold...nuff said!!!! but why do they want the "top brands"? Because they have a reputation that goes with them. But if those top brands started selling rods like the ones that every other company makes, they be more accessible to more anglers but they also quickly lose that reputation and become like every other company, thus defeating the whole purpose...

  4. I'm pretty sure that's what Burley meant. I have heard the same thing about Zillions.

  6. If that was your true belief, you would cook in a skillet on an electric range. ;D So do you use any seasonings or spices? I mean, you are a purist, right? : even gas grills season after a couple uses. Some would argue that natural wood coals/or even briquettes bring out the best flavor the meat has to offer. I think if God had wanted you to use gas, he would have created a propane tree, but that's just me. It's from King of the Hill. Hank Hill sells propane and propane accessories. He uses the line "taste the meat, not the heat" as a sales pitch, arguing that propane burns clean and doesn't affect the taste of the meat like charcoal will.
  7. Thank you. When ALL of the coals are ashed over, it's time to cook. Not a minute before. Yeah but it still smells before you start cooking. I just can't stand that smell.
  8. lol, that's exactly what I was thinking as I read through this thread. I don't like the smell of lighter fluid and charcoal when the coals are getting hot but I really don't have a preference for taste.
  9. aww man, I thought when you said you had "lost them" you meant "I stopped wearing them because I got teased"
  10. snowmobiles? exploding castles? where can I put in my credit card number?!?! Seriously though, if its half as good as COD4 then I will get it...
  11. If you can't find a Curado for $150, the new Citicas are very nice also.
  12. You should be happy! A positive article would have brought more pressure to your spots! Seriously though, maybe you should write a letter and see what they say. I haven't read that publication but do they have an editorial or write-in section?

yeah, I have no idea how they got T-Pain on that one song that is basically making fun of every song he has made...

I laughed so hard when I watched it last Saturday night that I had a coughing fit. Justin Timberlake is hysterical every time he is on SNL. There were some other great skits last week. Some of them are available on NBC.com. Those digital shorts are great. If you haven't checked out the Incredibad CD then you need to.
  15. what do you mean by "losing a lot of spinnerbaits"?
  16. They would never do that because it could explicitly violate religious rights of some of the people being interrogated. Other than that it's not a bad idea.
  17. wait, so ReelMech's guys say they are rumors, other sources say they are real. Anyone have any formal proof?(other than phone messages and distributor emails that people have "heard" about)
  18. I just made an $80 order the other day and then I see this....
  19. I love to fish on windy and overcast days. I used to be the same as you and sleep in on days when the wind was blowing but I think it is much easier to find and catch fish in the wind and clouds. Now I prefer windy and cloudy days because I can throw spinnerbaits and find the fish much easier.
  20. I love to throw spinnerbaits on windy days. I base my color preferences on the water color. I fish brighter colors in dingy water and natural colors (shad colors like white, green, blue, etc...) in clear water. I base blade selections on water clarity and light conditions. I use Colorado blades in dingy water or low light to put out more vibration and willows in clearer water or brighter conditions so I can move the bait faster so the fish can't get a good look at it.
  21. They could benefit from better blanks also but I agree, they do seem to be the best value in that price range (although the Premier isn't bad either considering its basically the same rod but without the weird purple color or split grips)
  22. that was my immediate thought. Also, do they even have big smallies in Texas?
  23. did anyone else cringe when he held the rod by the upper 1/4 and swung the fish on the shore at 1:24?
  24. Like Muddy said, the "IM" ratings are not constant across brands. You can't really make statements about specific rods that are IM8 based on use of another IM8 rod that is from a different company. What specific rods are you looking at? The more information you can provide us, the better feedback we can give you.
  25. What do you mean? Probably that if someone took this S.O.B. out they would be put in jail. Yet after all he did in the past he was freed to be able to commit this despicable act. Exactly, what actually does fit the crime? True this man was not in the right state of mind due to PCP but maybe he also knew that this act would be somewhat tolerated based on his past punishment, so a child suffers. The system does not work. Ok, I gotcha.
