St Johns River Fl. Water Temp 66* Depth 4 feet Bullrush line. Weightless trick worm Junebug color. air temp 65* Yesterday my partner got his limit fishing a reed line very slow and methodically as I attempted to fish behind him in the back seat. The guy was like a vacuum and left no twig un touched. He fished a weightless trick worm on spinning tackle while I threw a weightless Sinko.

Kentucky hunt
Another Deer Hunting adventure came to a close for me as I returned from River Valley Farms (RVF) Kentucky Yesterday. I arrived there last Friday evening with a friend that I hunt with in Ga. And my brother from Wisconsin for a week of deer hunting with a muzzleloader. We were greeted by the outfitter Harry Pozniack and his guide Randy whom is also a d**n good lodge cook. This adventure completed my 9th deer season @ RVF and again made memories. Opening day my brother harvested a handsome buck and the morning of day two I also tagged a good deer. My friend Dave whom rode with me unfortunately missed his buck. After my brother and I filled our buck tags, Harry put my brother and I in a large blind to fill doe tags and keep the herd in balance. In short order my brother shot a doe then I, all while laughing, and catching up of time passed. Countless memories were made once again and my brother and I booked again for next season.

Beyond Braid
The spool arrived in less then 5 days- Speedy shipping. I pool tested the line after spooling a Shimano Curado.. I tied on a worm hook on and had a 5 Lb. weight hooked to it in the pool. I went to the other end of pool 28 Ft. Using my usual drag setting "snug" I aggressively set the hook. Line held. Then I locked down the drag and again set the hook only to have the weight slide in the pool. Line held up fine. Despite all the negative comments I have found this spool of 30 lb test to be adequate for me to take fishing and give it a REEL test.

- Happy 247th Birthday U.S.M.C.
Every year on Nov. 10, Marine Corps veterans receive emails, calls, Texts and Facebook messages wishing them and our U.S. Marine Corps a happy birthday. There are times throughout the year when we remember what it means to be a veteran, when we honor our fallen comrades on Memorial Day, or celebrate veterans on Veterans Day. However today, the 247th Marine Corps birthday, brings Marines back to a time surrounded by their brothers and sisters. For me, it serves as more of a nostalgic day that reflects both Memorial Day and Veterans Day -- it's a time where Marines focus on their brothers and sisters in arms, remembering the good, and staring off into the distance as sorrow washes over them for all of their fellow Marines who gave their lives for our freedom. The good we have done is good and the bad we have done is legendary. Till Valhalla, Happy 247th U.S.M.C.- 2022 Deer hunt
Saw this buck along a pasture edge about 300 yds. away in Kentucky last year. Not wanting to risk that shot I watched him slowly make his way along the fence, then it dawned on me to pick up my rattle bag and go to work, after about 15 seconds of it I looked out the window of the blind and he was bounding across the pasture coming straight to the blind. He locked up @ about 35 yds. Not knowing where the fight was or if he smelled me he just stood looking giving me time to make a clean kill.- 10 lb Erie smallmouth
Nov. 3, 2022, of a 10-pound smallmouth bass being caught in Ontario on Lake Erie. Ross Robertson called us and confirmed his friend’s father Gregg Gallagher caught a smallmouth that was weighed officially with DNR representatives on hand at 10.15 pounds. It will surely be the new Lake Erie record. We just have the preliminary details right now and will be getting the more details, photos and the full story hopefully soon. Congrats to Gregg and his son Grant on a truly once-in-a-lifetime memory!- Wire Leader
7 Strand with figure 8 knot. Tie swivel on one end with figure 8 knot. (VERY EASY) wire will not slip! Tie hook or lure on other end with same knot. Leader length will depend on size of toothy fish. I usually use about 8 inches.- MLF/BPT Moving to a 5-Fish Limit???
Not sure I understand, They are still going to catch, weigh and release ever fish they catch but only the five largest after the day will be totaled for the win.- Why can't I flip?!?!
https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/pitching-for-bass.html- MLF Announces Scoring Change for 2023 Bass Pro Tour
https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/mlf-scoring-change-102522.html Major League Fishing (MLF), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced today a scoring change for the 2023 Bass Pro Tour. The extremely popular catch, weigh, immediate-release format will remain, however scoring will change from every scorable fish counts to scoring each angler’s five (5) heaviest bass per day. The “every fish counts” format will remain for both the General Tire Heavy Hitters all-star event and the General Tire Team Series. The scoring change will slightly alter how anglers advance in each Bass Pro Tour event. The 40 anglers in Group A will compete on Days 1 & 3 and the 40 anglers in Group B will compete on Days 2 & 4. The top 20 from each group, based on the two-day, heaviest cumulative weight of five bass per day will advance to the Knockout Round (Day 5). Anglers who win the Qualifying Round will no longer receive an automatic Championship Round berth. Weights are zeroed for the Knockout Round, and 10 anglers will advance to the Championship Round (Day 6). Weights from the Knockout Round will carry over into the Championship Round, and the winner of the event will be decided by the heaviest Knockout and Championship Round two-day cumulative weight.- Her emotions say it all.

I will bet on a Stick worm again. just my two cents.- PRO FISHING SCANDAL CHAMPS ACCUSED OF CHEATING ... Stuffing Weights in Walleye
Chase Cominsky and Jake Runyon -- both locals -- were apparently caught stuffing their walleye with weights and other debris ... with things coming to a head on Friday as their fish were being weighed, and then cut open to expose the truth on Lake Erie. Tourney officials started pulling out these lead egg sinkers from the insides of the fish that Cominsky and Runyon had up for weigh-in -- some are saying they're made of lead, but in any case ... they seem to have been jammed in for extra poundage. There are also slices of what some claim are fish fillets -- in other words, these guys are alleged to have cut pieces of other fish and stuffed them inside as well. Heading into the season-culminating championship event, Cominsky and Runyon had led the season standings for team of the year. They were led away by local police and face criminal charges of fraud.- How do you Southern boys do it?
