  1. That's the same one I use.
  2. I agree. When I am using briad I wrap the line through the eye twice.
  3. All cranks that I know of except for the Mann's 79 will need to be turned at one point or another and any crank fisherman worth his/her salt should be able to tune their cranks like it is second nature. If you are running your baits into the rocks and wood like you should, your baits are going to need to be tuned frequently. That being said, Norman cranks are some of the best cranks out there regardless of the price. Their finish holds up better than any Lucky Craft, Jackal, Megabass, or other $15-25 baits on the market, they have great action, and fish eat em!
  4. The Zoom brush hog is the one for me. I can still remember getting my first pack from BPS in 1996. Went out to Florida with them that summer and slayed em on Green Pumpkin. From what I remember they are the bait that started it all. Though Mister Twister did have a tube that had two curly arms coming off the body which came out before the brush hog but I don't think it ever caught on like the Brush Hog did.
  5. Now I get it Thanks Lightning! BTY, how do you get a hold of those sticks? All the sites I have gone to are in Japanese.
  6. Way to go! Glad to see some one is catching them. I got skunked yesterday
  7. Nice fish! BTY, your name is lightening rod (a $30 stick) yet you always seem to be holding JDM sticks ($300 on the low end) Is there something I'm not getting here? :-?
  8. Avid, that has to be the funniest thing I have heard in a long time. I am almost crying I am laughing so hard! ;D ;D ;D
  9. Oh I don't doubt it. I am just saying that I remember reading it somewhere. I am not trying to put it out there as fact. Trust me, I know that just because something is written down and published doesn't make it true. Hell, they even let Michael Moore write books
  10. I remember reading somewhere that the calories that are required to digest a Crawfish are almost as much as the bass gets from eating the thing. But that is not to say that bass don't love them.
  11. Are you trying to get to a spot or are you climbing back up from a fall?
  12. Well we finally won one We caught most of our fish on deep cranks (DD22 & 3/4oz Fat Free Shad) and our big fish came on a Skinny Bear football jig. We came to the scales knowing that we had a good bag but I didn't think for a minute that it was enough to win until the director asked to take a pic of us with our fish and told us we had the big wieght so far. After that I just parked the boat, put everything away, and stayed away from the scales until the rest of the field was done. When they were anouncing the awards I kept thinking we would be next but nope, we were last! Unreal feeling to beat 65 other teams during a tough bite. I also want to congratulate my buddies Tom Lee and Sinjin Kim (Halijedi) for their second place finish! 13. Way to go Matt. That has to be the biggest Bat Ray I have ever seen! Good looking Calico too!
  14. I don't know if you bought it yet or not but BPS is clearing out the current style of Avids. I just bought two yesterday. AC62MXF for $118 and a AC70MHF for $126 instead of $150 and $170. I already have the casting version of the rod you are looking into and it is a dream to fish.
  15. I had the largest version of the River2Sea V-Joint Wake Minnow and I busted it on a dock this last January. I'm not saying it's cheap though, lures are ment to land on water, not rocks. Looked great but never caught anything on it.
  16. You guys are right on! Could you imagine the snook that would eat that? I stuck a 44" Snook on a live Blue Runner that I was using for Jewfish. Great fish BTY. Thanks for posting it and congrats to your friend.
  17. Hey Sinjin, nice fish. Hopefully you and Tom don't fair so well on Friday Well, actually I hope you guys do stick a toad. I just hope that I get one an ounce larger Good job man!
  18. Third time is a charm! Good job.
  19. I wish the ABA night tournaments were 11 hours long. We only get from 8 until two or so. Nice smallie!
  20. A giant Jewfish that swam too far up stream and turned green
  21. That's what I am saying! Only time that I get upset about catching dinks is when I'm in a tournament. BTY, Beast, I am just going to assume that you are 30ft tall and that is a 5lber you are holding there
  22. Nice chunk of a fish! I hope that buzzer bends back for you. I bet we'll be seeing quite a few more post like this from you.
  23. I use florocarbon on two rods. My t-rig rod and my Shakey/senko rod. That's it. I for one like the fact that the scuffs stick out like a sore thumb. That way I can cut and retie when I need to. If I am fishing a softer mono, it could be scuffed and I wouldn't even know it until it's too late. Floro will never be as versital as mono. On my "all purpose" rods that that I take shore beating, I only fish mono because I like to be able to go from a spook to a T-rig if I need to. But if I am on a boat and have four or five rods with me, at least one will have florocarbon on it.
