shimano exage rods
You would be amazed about how that hook keeper looks like it's in a bad spot but it's actually spaced right...i thought the same thing but now I really don't mind it down there but I'm not throwing any treble baits on it either just a jig and chatter baits

shimano exage rods
Check out the exage line quite a few dif rods in the line up. Very comparable to the dobyns fury line and mojo line of rods (sc2)

Best jerkbaits-value and production
Big duo fan here... They pull hard but what 120 don't great action more of a slow roll. Only fished in my pond to see the action on them I'm very excited to try them out on the lake

shimano exage rods
So far so good yesterday was my first real day on the water with one very impressed with it so far. The one issue I did find which is the same issue with all my rods is the epoxy cracked on one eye which is not a big deal to me I have epoxy and will just touch it up...it cracked on the side pointing towards the tip which my old mojos did as well as my furys and champ extreme so nothing abnormal there. I'm pretty hard on rods. Oh and one more thing about them I noticed that does bug me which is the same for all rods in General the foregrip is part of the reel seat so when you tighten down your reel it makes it crooked not a big deal all rods do it just easier to notice with foregrip probably mostly my fault as I really wrench down on them to get them tight. I'm a little ocd lol

Strike King KVD Jerkbait "River Shiner" ? ? ?
It was the same thing I think 2 years ago with bar fish color of his cranks he kept bragging up the color and u could find it nowhere. The kvd jerks worked pretty good for me last year along side the mega bass. Not sure which one seen more action used the kvd's in no no places I was scared to throw the megas

Really Idiotic Question
BAM u gotta fish where the fish are if ur afraid of losing a lure or two and need to save money cause it's to expensive to lose one once in awhile u picked the wrong sport. Buy a lure retriever if ur fishing heavy wood that's what they are for
-
Really Idiotic Question
I'll add to this...don't over think or annalize it. It's fishing use your instincts if ur mind is tellin u something do it period hook sets are free just as previously stated. Don't know how many deer I've missed because of this same thing seeing it guessing yardage then second guessing myself it's a bad habbit same for fishing if u think a fish is there pull the trigger

paycheck baits
What I had heard was they started having quality issues and then kinda petered out....I can get to there site but for some reason nothing works when I click on it. I know other companies sell there product but never know how old it is which is why I. Like TW but they only have one color in the bait I want which kind of leads me to believe wither they are selling red hot or they kinda died out...seems like with the few responses on here its bein. Kept hush hush

Need a quick, easy, and kid friendly way to finish Jerkbaits/crankbaits/poppers/etc.
I'm Sure most that stuff dries to the touch very quickly it just has to set for awhile to hit 100% strength about like epoxy does worse case scenario kids could come by class and get them next day

A can of spray polyurethane would go a long way especially for beginners and hold up well enough no it's not epoxy but wat is unless ur actually using epoxy lol

paycheck baits

Powell Inferno vs Dobyns Fury
Which one does your local shop carry. Go with that one. I've held both and both feel good in the hand but I think the dobyns would get a slight advantage for me because they are carried by my local shop and the closest Powell dealer is over an hour away. I fish with dobyns for that reason

Favorite Senko / Stick Worm Colors ?
Gander brand bluegill laminate was very good to me last year other then that it was the basics new to me this year which I'm excited to try is the sugar sticks from field and stream got a few colors to try out but I think the blue green pumpkin color will be a good one. Kinda weird not sure why but they use sugar instead of salt I guess

jerk bait rod advice
Wow a lot of guys using that orochi ... Anyone have any experience with a kistler magnesium2 in the lite medium heavy moderate I think its a 6'8" kinda like the fact it's "supposedly" in between two powers ivealways kinda felt underpowered with a med and over powered with a mh I see the orochi is kinda like this as well with a 4.5 So its in between there 4&5 power I think...there site is kinda confusing plus wen I'm there I get sidetracked on all the good lookin jerkbaits

jerk bait rod advice
Right now I fish jerks on a dobyns fury 705 cb. Ild like to upgrade to I guess more of a jerkbait specific style rod. I throw a lot of vision 110s as well as 110+1s and recently purchased some duo 100dr and 120 s which seem to have more resistance. The 705 is a moderate action rod and I've notice some guys swear by moderate and some swear by fast action most stay in the medium power range. Some people prefer what I would consider a shorter rod ( under 7') which is why I need your advice here guys I already have decided Ild like to go shorter then 7' for jerks so my rod don't slap the water as much. So what are some good options out there...what are you currently using... Is it mod or fast action... This is a baitcasting set up... Also Ild like to stay under $300 ill bepairing the rod with either a lews tournament mb or possibly a tatula sv when I can get my hands on one spooled with probably 10# flouro

Favorite Neko Rig Hooks - which and why?
I just use wacky hooks mostly because iHave a ton plus in my mind a neko rig isn't much different then wacky rigging u are just weighting one side of the worm. On a side note I did try nail weights and neko weights and actually settled on cheap crappie jigs for the weight I just clip the majority of the hook off they seem to work a little better for me when I'm switching colors due to it's easier to find the one with the weight in it plus it gives the option of adding a contrast color to it instead of dye

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Boy Ild hate to see our water temps here in NE In with all the snow that fell last week and cold temps most lakes were starting to lock back up. This week should hopefully(fingers crossed) start the push for warmer water I won't even get my boat out yet cause it's still getting below freezing at night and don't want to take a chance

Bad day to be a jerkbait

Need a MH Cranking Rod Recommendation (100-200 budget)
Check out the new shimano exage line they have a 7'4" mh crankin stick for $99.00
-
The refurbished i Need a new partner in crime for my new MB reel
Shimano exage 7'2" mh fast. $99 I just got one and am very happy with it they have all Fuji components and would be a great rod for what u have listed. It fishes Ild say more like a moderate fast fast kinda in between the two.... Now here is a question for you...why did u spend so much for one reel to put on one rod to do everything to me u would have been better suited to spread that money out and get maybe 2-3 rods to cover all these applications no one rod will excell for all the applications listed but many rods will do them all

Is It Worth It?
If u are gonna get a dobyns call the man himself and explain to him what u want it for. Let him explain the different jig rods and why one is better then the other. A lot of guys recommend the 735 but after talking with Gary and explaining my situation we both agreed the 744 was a better rod for my purpose

small scale jig skirts making
Hey guys so I was thinkin about trying to make my own vibrating swim jigs. With that said is it worth the investment of making my own skirts or just buy finished jigs and add the blade? Very seldom have I ever replaced a skirt on a jig usually I just replace the whole thing

fishing knots
I was just on there site looking at knots a lot of options on there

fishing knots
So I know that this is a question asked a million times but I'll ask it again.. What knot is everyone using to tie on a leader to braid(15lb power pro to 6-8 lb cxx) uni to uni Albright or Alberto what are the advantages of each. Do you use super glue or anything else to help strengthen the knot...where can I find a good demo of how to tie this knot... Also with the locked threads on best reel and rod ect I thought maybe a mod could start one for knots maybe with links on where to find how to tie them what is suggested the most for certain applications ect...is there any good apps for a phone anyone would suggest because with New knots sometimes YouTube is not accessable
