  1. If it is caught in a glorified bathtub and is handfed high protein fish food its whole life.
  2. Unfortunately, that is my impression as well. If the catch was legit, I don't think the details would be sketchy as they are now. They would have certified the fish properly.
  3. I guess the show is just new to me then. It was definitely in NY.
  4. I was watching a new show on R&R network Sunday night call Lunkerville. It is a show about a guy who travels to different parts of the country and fishes with a local expert. Lo and behold Earthworm was the local expert this week. Craig and his wife showed a little bit of the Micromunch tackle shop and Craig fished with the host on a small body of water. He caught one that was probably around 5 lbs. Not bad for NY. It was pretty cool.
  5. Thanks. I have heard the story, but I don't think I've ever seen that pic. I'VE BEEN DUPED!
  6. I'm guessing he didn't try "deadsticking" it!
  7. PB was at 09:00 last November. The second best was Oct. 2004 at dusk. I guess I'm just lucky!
  8. basswagoner, You must be confused. This is a bass fishing board and you have a picture of a whale in your avatar Just thought I'd clear that up for you. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Seriously, how big is that thing? I suspect it would surpass the records of all but a few of the states listed. If you are, in fact, a little person and that is a five pounder, no offense. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  9. I figure my net is better than the gaff. ;D ;D ;D
  10. You mean my rubber-soled tennis shoes won't protect me while standing in my aluminum boat in a t-storm? :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  11. I think you answered your own question. If you never fish in strong winds, the shorter shaft will probably work. You'd be surprised, though, how much shaft you need when the waves kick up. I usually have about a foot of shaft above the mount but there have been times when I had to drop it all the way down to prevent the prop from breaking the surface. The waves were 2-3 feet tall and it only happened a few times, but it was there when I needed it.
  12. 1963 16' V bottom Starcraft (with a lot of customization ).
  13. No. But I have never fished "somewhere in the mid south".
  14. Awesome. BTW, it's Puerto Villarta. Have fun!
  15. I am guessing you will have to buy a new one. This time, buy a fuse with it
  16. MinnKota makes a small digital that runs on a AAA battery and has a cord with a small sensor that can be mounted anywhere you like. I saw them at Wal-Mart for $10.
  17. Once when I was playing in a band, my lead guitarist sent me to his house to get some spare strings. Nobody was home at the time and his dog didn't like it one bit. I found an empty McDonald's bag in my car and stuffed it over the dog's head and ran like heck. It got me out of there without getting bit
  18. That sounds like a great name for a German beer ;D
  19. POTTY MOUTH ! ;D ;D
  20. I have even caught a couple bass on the fall. It was really hard to know something was there. I just realized that it didn't feel quite right and set the hook. I was amazed that the fish would hold on to something that heavy. The two I have caught that way were really small, too.
  21. You're never going to beat your PB with that attitude! Come on! Live on the edge ;D
  22. Cephkiller replied to ARCHER's topic in Tacklemaking
Di you have to make sure the BBs are in a certain location when they are fixed so you don't negatively effect the balance and running characteristics of the bait?
  23. Cephkiller replied to ARCHER's topic in Tacklemaking
I have heard you can boil them in water and it will increase therir bouyancy and make them run shallower.
  24. That's just sadistic. You're an evil, evil man! ;D
  25. I caught many bass for many years with a 10' john boat, electric motor, one rod/reel and I used a Texas rigged Berkely Power Worm 99% of the time. I still caught more bass than most people with whom I fished. I did, however, try to learn something (even if it was what not to do) from everyone. Hang in there. Just have fun.
