  1. Never would think to do this. I’m guessing helps prolong reel/drag life.
  2. This is a very cool experience -- no doubt a fun and memorable night.
  3. Just switched to hi-viz yellow Daiwa braid to go on the new Stradic ci4. Excited to give it a try.
  4. Here you go: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Yo-Zuri_Hybrid_Fishing_Line_Clear/descpage-YZHFLC.html
  5. eBay deal got me —> Shimano Stradic ci4 for $159. No tax or shipping for the 2016 model. Going to match it up to a Dobyns DX703SF :-)
  6. Nearly 60 today in Omaha but too may freezing days prior to this for the ice to be gone. Hoping for open water soon.
  7. Not familiar with your location or how close you are to a law school, but when I was in school we had a law clinic staffed by the students with faculty oversight that would assist those in the community that could not otherwise afford legal assistance. A property issue like this would be something that our law clinic would have taken on. You can PM if you want to talk more in depth. Derek
  8. Split/Cork is my preference but not a deal breaker.
  9. Outstanding and Congrats! What did you catch her on?
  10. http://www.thebassholes.com/articles/tomyoung/cosmicclock/Cosmic-Clock-TBH.html Love reading this and greatly appreciate the time & knowledge you put into this.
  11. Here’s a vote for the Bass Raider / Pond Prowler. Got me off fishing from the bank. Very stable and trolling motor moves it around pretty easy.
  12. I came here to post this very thing — same bait/color. Thought I tied into my PB Bass when it hit. :-)
  13. Thanks — I was able to find a pdf of the 2018 catalog. Now I need to decide how much I want to splurge on a new spinning rod. Aside from the light green color of the blank, I’m liking the Legend X.
  14. Not seeing the new models on the St. Croix website. Anyone have a link to show what is new for 2018?
  15. Interesting - who makes that?
  16. I just went to the local Cabela’s on Saturday and I was really impressed at how well it was stocked and just how busy it was. There is s BPS about 20 minutes away.
  17. That is too bad. I have no idea how it stacked up against other SoCal lakes at the time (late 80’s), but for me, there was something special about that place.
  18. Vail Lake — Temecula, California. Fished there only once as a kid with my dad. Loved that place - not sure what it’s status is now. One of the few fishing trips I went on with my dad.
  19. If you haven’t already done so, I would recommend setting aside some time and reading this thread:
  20. Only fished in the Cornhusker State last year — will likely be the same again this year.
  21. Welcome to the OP and a big thank you to Glenn for the tip. There is a “how to correctly spool a spinning reel” article I’ve been trying to find without success.
