The worst part is when your jeans are just barely ripped. Still perfectly acceptable fishing pants. Then you go to put them on and step thru the hole!!! Then you freeze your knees off like me

Going straight downhill on icy roads is a little tricky too! We had to keep an tire in people’s yards to get to a plowed road last year 😂

Had some good ole fried catfish New Year’s Eve. It’s very complicated. Shake fish in cornmeal, fry in veggie oil. Drink beer and pretend you’re really working hard in carport

Curse words!!!! I did that once and the door latched shut and locked. There was a brief panic. Don’t recall if it was thumb or finger but it went flat, I have a photo somewhere

Don’t blame ya , too cold for kayak at that point (for me personally). Some folks do it with no problem, I only fish off the bank when it’s below 32 ish. I will launch a motor boat down into the teens, but typically only if the temp will rise above freezing during the day.

Fished for a while in the cold wind today, a little wintry mix at one point. First fish was a white bass, then a nice walleye between 21-22”. I got 4-6 more white bass and a crappie, lost a little smallie boatside. Good start to 2025 fishing

That kind of sounds like muskrat, beavers don’t like their dam to leak. A good way to know if you’ve gotten them all for the time being is to tear a hole in their dam, they will fix it overnight if still present but then again if you ground checked a beaver, then there was a beaver there 😂 muskrat is notorious for drilling holes in levee, perhaps they were working in combination
