Super User DogBone_384 Posted January 2 Super User Posted January 2 Not a giant, but a healthy 1 1/2 pounds. It had 'winter wallow' fight in it. 4 Quote
softwateronly Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I'm hoping to keep my open water streak going though January but it is looking dicey and would need some serious luck. Here's one of my last bass of 24 and hope I can post here before Feb. scott 7 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted January 2 Super User Posted January 2 I made it my resolution to fish more in 2025. I've been a dedicated fanatic for a long time, but lost some of my favorite private waters to put the kayak in. So I went to a small pond that belongs to a friend yesterday. Tossed my black and blue Senko in a laydown and caught this one on the first cast. I put the kayak in and paddled around the place, to no avail. But it beez like that in winter sometimes, just fishing for a bite or two and getting out of the house. It's about 1.5 pounder. 5 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 2 Global Moderator Posted January 2 This was actually my second of the year yesterday, but the first was so small the camera couldn't focus on it I guess and the picture was blurry. Only got out for 1.5 hours at the lake right down the street from my house. Water was super clear, but I got on the board for the new year. Supposed to be winter storms this weekend with maybe over a foot of snow.. 8 Quote

I think it is very similar. I inherited it from my in-laws, has to be at least 35 years old. Now if only they'd give me the latest japanese rods and reels.... scott 2 Quote
