  1. Yeah, I’ve been to it all. Just trying to paint the picture for ya. My buddy got all his rods and reels stolen that were leaning against his camper with his kids sleeping inside while camping at santee. We grew up right next to national parks and wilderness areas but santee is OUT there. A really cool place, especially the fishing (though I didn’t get to participate), just read where you said your wife couldn’t handle out in the sticks and it fits that definition to a T
  2. This was in the middle of downtown Tuesday night . you mean outdoor activities or dining/social/music type stuff? Let me know if you want a tour sometime. I live right across the water from downtown in the urban wilderness , world class mountain biking that I don’t dare participate in haha There are some nice walleye/sauger downtown as well, and the occasional 30-40 lb striped bass
  3. I see shad swimming upstream mostly, especially at dams and up creeks . And then They’ll swim 360 degrees to avoid a smallmouth haha
  4. Santee cooper is in the middle of nowhere
  5. @Swamp Girl, Twas a jumper!
  6. Depends on your definition of emergency. I’d try it if it was snowing in the middle of Lake Superior after dark with no cell service, warranty would not be my concern at that moment
  7. Definitely doing fine but that’s the only life I’ve ever known, not sure when it’s peak
  8. Back in my former career, I went to someone’s house that had a few similar things up on a shelf. A raccoon climbed up there and pooped all over them.
  9. Got to a spot near the house after work last night at 5:20, with about 50 minutes of daylight left (thanks, DST…..) My buddy got a nice 19” SMB and another short fat one , I avoided skunk with a small LM. Had to fish a bit into the dark just to make it worth hooking the boat up 😂 Thankfully the TN river was back to normal color the fish seem to have weathered the flood, took a little over a month to rebound
  10. My buddy pulled one into my boat last summer. People catch a lot of them on the Holston and you get $100 if you cut it off, we let it go because we didn’t know about the reward program 😂
  11. In January would be nice. Please for the sake of us all 😂
  12. Weightless is the way to go around cypress, although I can’t do wacky around them. Nice write up
  13. “They make money from sponsors, not from winnings” winnings payout changes…….. ”this is an outrage!” 😂
  14. The dirt gets wet when you throw them back into the river 😂 I think it’s bank fisherman that don’t want to fall into the water reaching down for a fish so they land flip ‘em. I’d have to imagine it rinses right off and fish can re generate slime coat
  15. Dirt won’t hurt mister bass, they lay in it all winter long.
  16. Lightning strike and powerball lotto win are in the future for @T-Billy after a double Muskie ! awesome job
  17. Formerly coosa spotted bass, now known as Alabama bass. Micropterus coosae. Very fast and angry flavor of bass
  18. But if you lay a gar on the ground , the ground immediately becomes nervous. More my speed haha and they bite everything they see, even rope
  19. I would love for someone to beat the chiefs but……. they never do when it counts except of course my bungles
  20. Open for grabs in the AFC??? Have you watched the playoffs last couple years ?
